Do you think the Unova Elite Four will ever appear?

In DP, we had all four Elite Four members - Aaron, Bertha, Flint, and Lucian - appear gradually one after the other for at least one episode each. However, do you think the Unova Elite Four will ever appear in the anime?

Personally, I don't think they will. Yes, all the Sinnoh Elite Four appeared, and all the Kanto Elite Four appeared, but only two of the Johto Elite Four appeared, and only one of the Hoenn Elite Four appeared, so I think the chances are slim for all of the Unova Elite Four to appear too.
 
Its still possible we might see them around or after the league.

Remember Bertha and Flint didn't even appear till DP had over 170 episodes.
 
Well since Adeku appeared it likely. At the very least Marshall win appear for the Trip/Cheren plot

Just because Alder appeared, it doesn't mean the rest of the Elite Four will appear. Remember, Lance, Steven and Wallace appeared, but two Johto E4 members and three Hoenn E4 members never did.

But in all three of those cases they weren't revealed to currently champion. Steven was just some dude, Lance was refered to as Lance of the elite 4 not champion and Wallace was a top coordinator at the time. With change in E4 in games they didn't decide what they want to do with Kanto/Johto E4 so that explains Lance. They never talked about steven being in the E4 at all so that is why it didn't amount to anything. And Wallace was there as a coordinator. So it is completely different man
 
The only one I can really see appearing is Marshal, and that's dependent on how closely Cheren's story arc is adapted for Trip. For everyone else, any appearances they make would just be fanservice- which isn't a terrible reason, but it's certainly not a pressing one.

I would love to see Grimsley or Shauntal or even Marshal, but I really hope that Caitlin doesn't appear :I That's my own bias, but still. Or at least have Darach appear with her somehow.

I think Shauntal would be pretty fun to have. But the chances are kinda slim :c
 
It might be to late to showcase all of them, unless their appearances were closer together, but maybe one or two will still show up eventually.

Anyone else ever get this feeling that the producers just hate the Elite 4 for some reason :confused:
 
Doubtful. I'm thinking that only Alder will ever be featured and no one else. They honestly don't really need to bring in Marshal for Trip's... err "plot" which is already different in some respects to Cheren's plot in the BW games.
 
Lack of E4 is obviously foreshadowing Satoshi's losing in Isshu League. Like how their appearances foreshadowed Satoshi's winning Sinnoh league...
 
I actually thought they should've had Marshall feature into the Don Tournament myself...not as a competitor, but since it's Fighting-type focused, it would've been cool to see him appear as a guest commentator. Or they could've made it his tournament in the first place.

Don't care too much about Caitlyn or Shauntal, but I want Grimsley to appear. And play up the hopeless gambler side of his character hinted at in interview sources. Make him into a MADAO, basically, if anyone gets that reference.

I think people meant how Trip is filling in Cheren's role, as the Alder episode was pretty close to that portion of the game, sans replacing Cheren with Trip. You know, Trip being the strength-obsessed dude.
 
I want Grimseley to appear - he's the most interesting IMO.

Also, wouldn't there be a chance Shauntal might apperar? She said that she once interviewed Volkner.
 
Itd be cool if they did, but i dont think its likely. especially not all of them. Maybe some will appear around the league
 
They sure as hell better. Especially since Trip mentioned the Champion League. We'd better not get another screwup like with Sinnoh.
 
I'd love to see Shauntal and Grimsley appear especially, they both had interesting designs and personalities in the games that I think would make for unique interactions in the anime.
 
Would I like them to appear? Of course. They're some of the most unique Elite Four members we've seen. Do I think they will appear? I wouldn't bet on it. We're already 70 episodes in and no trace of anyone but Alder, so I unfortunately have doubts.
 
I think they will show up. They already mentioned the champions league. Plus we saw the champ. I think its more of a matter of time, then "if" but that's just my opinion.
 
Unless I've been living under a rock we have seen Alder already, so just be patient and expect more, it only gets better from here on out
