Do you think the writers will finally show the Gym leader Janine?

The writers had two opportunities to show Janine, the Kanto Gym leader who takes over after Koga gets promoted to the Elite 4, in the anime in the past.

The first time was of course in Johto. Instead of bringing Aya back, they should have had Janine in that episode. It would have been nice to see her training to take over Koga's Gym. But she was ignored and didn't appear.

The second time could have been the Battle Frontier saga. It might have been interesting to see Ash stop by Koga's Gym, only to see Janine was the Gym leader. But it didn't happen there either.

Now with HGSS coming out, it would be nice to randomly see Janine in an episode even in Sinnoh. We saw the writers suddenly introduce Wallace when most thought we'd never see him, so it would be nice to see Janine. Janine is the only older Gym leader that has never appeared in the show.
 
I really really really really hope they take this chance to include Janine, Will, and Karen.

Y'know, with Janine's father being Koga, this would be the perfect chance to change the Kanto/Johto E4 from the Gen 1/3 line-up to the Gen 2/4 line-up... Hell, make this because of the Championship League and we finally get the chance to see the entire Hoenn and Sinnoh E4s (in-person). :p
 
They probably won't, since I really doubt they'll go quite into detail with HeartGold and SoulSilver enough to include an obscure gym leader that's not even from Johto. I can see Jasmine, and perhaps a few more, but Janine would be pushing it.
 
I highly doubt that since he had Koga's sister (I can't remember her name) make an appearance in Johto.

Also haven't we already had a thread about this?

Which is why they could make-up for that now. HGSS coming out is the perfect reason as well.

I think that thread was about Jasmine, not Janine.
 
It would be nice if she could show up. Also Will and Karen should also make an appearance.
 
I want Janine and Karen and Will to appear. Maybe shopping in Goldenrod or something (Really, I can picture Will shopping)
 
I'd rather see her at Sunyshore than Jasmine, honestly. I don't even think we'll see Jasmine at Sunyshore anyway.

Don't forget Silver.

They could make her appear, or make some random filler arc when Ash finishes Shinoh and goes to Kanto(where they meet Silver and Leaf).

But, I doubt it.

Actually, maybe Janine won't be appearing. After all, someone had to let loose the Great Chansey Stampede of 2008 that killed the League Ladies.

Man, you really despise anything to do with Johto....

On-topic, yeah it would be cool if Janine were to appear in the anime. I really like her design for some reason.
 
With HGSS, they have reason for that.

And they'd be losers if they didn't show Will, Karen and Janine now.

Back in Johto they were losers by showing Aya instead of Janine. But the entire Johto was generally a Loser Saga. So maybe this time they'll do better.

And I am sure that there will be a HGSS Saga in the anime. They don't even have to rush, Generation V is nowhere near close. And they totally have a reason to go back to Johto. BATTLE FRONTIER. After all, it's in Johto.

Palmer said he's from the Sinnoh BF...
So I guess after Sinnoh they'll either have Ash rechallenge the Johto Gym Leaders for some reason, or more likely - make up anime-only leaders/brains-like characters and put them in Johto (or anime-only place)
 
That's why it would be cool to randomly see Janine in Sinnoh. After all she is a Kanto Gym leader, not a Johto one, so we wouldn't be seeing her in her native region anyway.

It would also be interesting to hear if Koga got promoted to the Elite 4 in the anime like he was in the game.

Although I doubt Ash will ever challenge the Kanto Elite 4, seems far too late for that.
 
Both Palmer and the Pokethlon is in Sinnoh, so likely the other Brains are here too. The only other Johto elements is stuff that was ignored the first time like the red-haired rival, and who knows if he'll appear.

I am hoping some of the new Rocket admins appear in Sinnoh. Between that, and Kotone/Pokethlon/Palmer already in Sinnoh, there's probably no Johto re-visit planned.
