Do you think they should end the anime?

Ive only watched up untill the 2nd season of the johto journey and I plan on finishing it but I recently watched an episode of the new DP season and compared to the older stuff the anime looks it has seen better days, i mean it has been running for 12 seasons, and the whole PUSA 4kids fiasco left a big dent in the show, anyone else think they should have one last season, tie up a few loose ends and end the show? this is just my opinion, I don't want to start a flame war or anything what do you guys think?

Never, I could watch that show forever. No matter what people say about giving a series a good ending, who really enjoys when that happens?

Also, the English dub is not "the show". A change in dubbers did not have any effect on "the show".

Well i probably will stop watching it, but that wont be a proper ending.

I watched the show as a kid back in the 90's and i just don't think they do it justice anymore and by that i mean the dubbers and the people who make it in japan.

I like pokemon just as much as anyone here, i just think it derserves a good ending.

Personally I prefer "the show" as it is today more than what it was back then. Back then it really didn't have much direction when you look at things establishied after the Kanto days...

Okay, say what you will about the anime, but it actually is okay. Granted, it's not the greatest show ever, but I still watch it. Do I want it to end? No. Do I think they should get better writing... well, yeah. But hey, it's decent as is.

The Pokemon anime is a rather popular show. I don't see it ending any time soon.

Umm if you asked me this during the Honnen generation I would have said yes, now it just wouldn't make sense unless Pokemon some how starts loosing big ratings.

I used to want an ending to the series, but now I think I'm content with the format they have - a perpetually ongoing series. Granted, I don't really watch the anime any more, but I still like keeping up with it in other ways (ie guides, etc.).

I wanted the show (or Ash's story) to end with DP, but if it goes on for the 5th gen then so be it.

It really doesn't matter anymore, the show has gone on for too long for anyone to really bother with every single episode. Eventually when the show hits 1000 episodes, good luck watching them all.

I currently like the anime and think that it should stay.

It's not going to end anytime soon anyways as we have a new (fifth) generation coming out, making new places to go and new Pokémon to meet.

I wouldn't give up Brock for anything though. =D

I do hope, though, that the people who want them to stop making Pokemon episodes aren't the same ones who want them to make more of the main Pokemon games. I mean, sure, there are lots of people who enjoy playing the games than they do watching the anime, but still. Both the anime and games are repetitive. If people praise the repetition of the games to no end, I think there should be a limit to how much they bash to no end the repetition of the Pokemon anime series.

That was kind of my point - if you think the show has become old and tired, there's no one forcing you to keep watching. Just stop and pretend it got canceled or whatever.
