Do you think they will ever introduce 4 stage evolution lines?

It would break everything we knew and loved about Pokemon. Then again, so did lots of things...-.-

I just don't see them doing it, personally. The only one I can think that it would be useful for is those suck bugs (The ones that evolve at 7 and 10). They get another evolution around 70, and they become halfway decent...
 
I'll never say never...It doesn't seem like it anytime soon but in the future you never
know. I'm personally hoping then don't. I like just having 3, with possibly a 4th split
evolution if they wanted.
 
I really, really, REALLY doubt that they would ever have a 4th stage. Sorry, but I just think that it's very unlikely. If they made one, they would have to balance it out with everything else to prevent it from getting too powerful. And of course, it would needlessly complicate things. I prefer evolutions to be simply, not complicated.

We really don't need new evolutions to already existing pokemon (save eeveelutions but they're a special case) and by extent, no fourth stages anywhere.

ah.. yes branches I can see, I would like to see starters to have a male and female 3 stage branches. But I don't know how people would like that or not. As I can see a 4th stage would go wrong, I hope GF does not have it in mind.

I am pretty sure they have thought about it now, when you think about it, 4th stages would seem like an idea they would of had in R/G and maybe again in G/S but they most likely gave it up and brought in branches.

However I would ever say that they will never do it.

if they made the fourth stage evolution a legendary, i.e. there is one item per game to do the evolution, and the final legendary stage could only breed the lowest stage (so you couldnt get another legendary from this one) i can see them doing that as an new innovative way to recive a legendary.

the evoloving item would have to be as rare as master balls currently are, and maybe work like a thunderstone type item (use on pokemon to evolve)

also because the level 4 evolution would be classed as legendary, it could be classed as UU for competitive perposes so it wouldnt imbalance the game.
 
digimon, digimon something, digimon something something. how much I'd like to see that pokémon like vileplume and wigglytuff would become better, a base stat change would be the better option. Because a four stage evolution would make pokémon more like, you know, Digimon. Something nobody wants

Nope, the maximum is a 2-stage evolution line. A pokemon can only evolve a maximum of 2 times. It would be weird and contradictory to do this.
