Do you think we'll see Jasmine appear later on in D/P?

If you remember, Jasmine actually appears in the D/P games toward the tail-end, do you think the anime will do the same thing?

The thing is, Jasmine in the anime wasn't really all that major of a character. She was in two episodes, one before the Whirl Island arc and one after...and after that we never heard from her again. She didn't exactly leave a big impression on the anime, and there's really nothing about her that stood out more than any other Gym leader.

But in any case, do you think she might make another appearance? I'm not exactly sure what the writers could do with her, but since they've been following the D/P games so closely at this point, they might do this too.

I wouldn't be worried about her initial impact on the anime, but rather her personality.

In the games she was portrayed as a timid yet caring character, but the anime version was well... a spunky and stereotypical gym leader character.

If she does appear, her role in DP would be completely unfitting for her anime personality, yet if she appears with her game personality, it would create a paradox in character development (what would make a confident character go all timid like that?)

But I wouldn't be surprised if she never appears at all considering that her only role was to hand out an HM (Which don't exist in the anime canon.)

Besides, They can easily get rid of the waterfall and have the Sinnoh Pokémon League without it.

EDIT: Oh goodness, I completely forgot about her role in DP's super contests. She could be a good rivial for Dawn.

I would love to see Jasmine appear again. Her two episode appearances were over two hundred episodes ago now. By the time we get to her game location, it will have been over 300 episodes. Keep in mind that while she was only in two episodes, that was still more than Lt. Surge, Erika, Koga, Falkner, Bugsy, and I believe Chuck.

It would be good advertising in the case of possible GSC remakes too, and for the younger audience it would likely be the first time they saw any Johto characters.

It wouldn't surprise me if she appears again. This series have been following the games a bit closer than other seasons.
Exactly what I thought as well, although this might spark speculation that Ash might revisit Johto. ._.

And we don't need another discussion of that in here.

I think she will. I'd love to see any old gym leader/important people back too.

Then wake me up when Kouki appears...

AG also had some "faithful" moments sometime (like Kachinuki Family, which got omitted in the manga and had a fair chance of omission in the anime, got shown). Or Nobuhiko in Jouto... I really don't see how DP is more faithful than previous series.

Why didn't we see Rad Rickshaw (the Cycle shop owner, kidnapped by Ginga [unnamed in the original]) in Hakutai City? Why didn't we see Shin'ou Super Contest Judges?

We didn't see them because they are characters with practically no role in the game. Mikan is just the SAME as them. She just stands on the beach and gives the hero a HM. She's sort of useless, just like other random guys from games.

That's why she will never be shown in the anime again. Because the only thing that makes her notable is she being a GSC reference. Aside from standing, giving hero an item and participating in contest (contest guys aren't notable, are them?), she has no role.

Then, I really don't see her in the DP anime. If a random guy stood on the beach and gave character the HM, instead of Mikan, you would NEVER consider his reappearance.

No bearing on plot = no anime appearance.

It's not like I don't want Mikan to reappear. I really DO want to see her! But the chance of her appearance is near to 0% because of the aforementioned reasons....

Jasmine's personality was truthfully kinda dull in the anime, I do like her game personality a bit more. The anime gave her the relatively generic Johto filler girl personality, but the bad part was she was a Gym leader instead of a Johto filler girl.

But then again I'm not all that surprised the Johto saga ruined Jasmine's timid personality, its what they tended to do best that region.

I'd love to see Jasmine again since she's one of my favorite Gym Leaders ever, but..... I doubt they'll have her re-appear in the anime. Maybe Lance will come out instead. :p

I hope not. There was an uproar when he appeared in the Kyogre/Groudon eps.

What I am? An Unown Lord?
Pardon? You have made at least one dogmatic claim in the past about what you thought could certainly not happen, and somehow that reputation is attached to me? I have only voiced my opinion on what I thought should not happen or was not supported in facts as likely to happen; never have I arrogantly pretended to have the future in the palm of my hand, which you have just now, as well as several times before.

While I am at it, it is high time you picked up an English grammar book.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Any, yeah I think she'll reappear if there's a G/S/C remake.

Because, well, when you tell that something is not going to happen, it usually happens...

Apparently the meaning of words eludes your detection. I have never said about anything that it would not happen, only that it either should not happen or otherwise not be taken for granted as guaranteed to occur. You are quite welcome to look for examples in my forum history if you are convinced of the contrary.

Thank you.

I really hope that Mikan is reprised, it would do her character justice from the crap she recieved in Johto (hopefully). I could see them throwing her in there just like Momi and Miru who really had no advancement in the game plot either.

Cynthia doesn't really seem like a superhero, so we may end up seeing Lance again towards the end of this arc.

Oh wait, this topic was about Jasmine, right? So yeah, she had a Steelix (which has appeared in many episodes) and a Magnemite (which has appeared in many more episodes), so she doesn't have a lot to offer on the Pokemon front.

I dunno, I'm kinda against Dawn battling so many Gym leaders. She's battling Maylene, and she might very well battle Fatina when they return to Hearthome, and Jasmine too?
