Do you want Buneary to evolve?

Now that Dawn has a Soothe bell, what are your thoughts on this matter? This is not really so much a speculation thread as it is a, "Would you like to see her witha Lopunny thread?"

I have kind of mixed feelings about this. Buneary is very cute and I liked its interactions with Pikachu and it works well with her other Pokemon.

If it evolves, the whole crush on Pikachu thing could take a disturbing turn, and Lopunny is downright creepy looking. Its also a rather tall Pokemon, sort of making it look out of place compared to Piplup and Pachirisu.

I dunno, I'd prefer it to simply stay as Buneary for its entire run but I could see why the writers would evolve it too. What do you think will happen, and what do you want to happen?
 
I think it would ruin the Pikachu love thing, so no I don't want it to happen.

I bet it will happen.
 
idk, I've never really thought of the Buneary ♥ Pikachu thing as anything other than material for a filler later on, and I think they may evolve to give Dawn another powerhouse along with her buizel. And yes, Lopunny is damn ugly, it's eyebrows seem out of place on an obviously feminine pokemon xp
 
I like Habunake's idea over on SPP of it evolving and the twerps' male Pokémon all fighting over it. ;P That would rock. I imagine it will stay a Buneary the entire time, though.
 
I doubt they'll evolve it, though. The female protagonists have generally only had pokemon that were cute and unevolved (Misty's Horsea and Psyduck, May's Munchlax & skitty, etc.) and they usualy only would have one powerhouse (Misty's Staryu, May's Combusken, Dawn's Buizel) that was still unevolved for much of the series (if not all), so I doubt they'll evolve Dawn's Buneary just yet (if ever)

That would be funny but it would be creepy and kinda weird too...

Lopunny would be really cute but it's "furryness" is it's down fall,

I would think it would stay a Buneary do to the pikachu crush thing...but who to say she may lose her crush on it when she evolves.Kinda like when you have a crush when your young and when you get older you lose internet and your tastes change.

Edit:Who's to say Dawn will not break the mold of the standard poke girl

Hm, did Dawn get the Soothe Bell then? I thought she was just looking at it in the end of the episode o_o

Eh, if it's the case then I take it's likely for Buneary to evolve eventually. The artists'd definitely still manage to make her cute.
 
I'd like it to evolve, for reasons already stated, somehow, by Habunake over on SPP.

And if Dawn trades Buizel she won't have it anymore.

Probably because the writers gave her a team of all cute Pokemon. Its pretty obvious they intend for Dawn and her team to remain very cute and girly, and if Buizel leaves, Aipom fits in with her team in that manner too.

Honestly? I want it to evolve. Not only am I one of the few who loves it's evolved form, but I don't care how disturbing it's crush on Pikachu would be. If anything, I'd take it to the next level. Let the sucker swoon over Satoshi and Takeshi...watch them spazz out over the creepy bunny woman.

It's not that I care but I think it could evolve for the sake of less cutesy.

And maybe it'll get more screentime as a Mimilop... Who knows...

Misty has a Gyarados and May has a Blaziken, granted a little late in the show but still the show,shows hints she maybe different...I mean lets not rule any thing out

...Not to mention Lopunny is still a cute pokemon

^ Yeah, but notice how those two Pokemon were given to them during the time where they're rarely seen anymore?

The reason I can't see Dawn with a powerhouse above Buizel's level is because the writers probably don't want her to seem stronger than Ash.
 
but it's not as if Mimilop's a particularly strong Pokemon (gamewise), especially if it evolves after Satoshi's team starts doing so. I only see it being a little above Wakashamo's level at best. Also, I don't know why everyone keeps bringing up Mimiroru's crush on Pikachu... they really haven't done much with it, and if they ever do bring it up, it's hardly anything more than a briefly-seen running gag.

At this point, I highly suspect one of those Soothe Bells is gonna help evolve it anyway.... personally, I'm more interested in seeing what Satoshi does with his. Are the speculations that he's gonna catch a Riolu really gonna end up true (I gotta admit, Satoshi actually owning the same type of Pokemon he teamed up with in one of the movies would be badass... shame it obviously wouldn't be the exact same one, that Lucario being such a nicely defined character, but badass nonetheless)? Will he give it to Takeshi to help evolve Lucky, which evolves from Pinpuku, into Hapinasu (thus giving the Pokemon its first real screentime in about 7 years)? Or will the writers totally surprise us and have him catch a certain Pokemon that's the previous evolution of a Pokemon Kojirou used to own?
 
Ewww....I don't want Buneary to evolve! Loppuny scares the crap out of me. And I can't see Dawn with a Loppuny. If the anime people want to get it in, they should do it in some episode where Flint appears.
 
Sure it would make her crush on Pikachu super creepy but at the same time it would make for some great comic relief!
 
Evolution doesn't mean Buneary will lose her/his? crush on Pikachu. Remember Chikorita---->Batleef?
