Do you want Jessie to keep Seviper throughout D/P?

Since it seems likely that Cacnea will be given to Gardenia and Dustox will probably be released at some point too, (I'd wager more likely than not), the only Hoenn Pokemon still with TR will be Seviper.

Jessie still uses Seviper as her main battler almost every time she's in battle, and she works best with snake Pokemon than any others. However, Arbok/Weezing were treated like a set but Seviper/Cacnea are seemingly going to be split, apparently not getting the same "set" treatment the previous two battlers had.

So, do you want Jessie to keep Seviper during D/P?
 
I don't think she has much of a choice. There's not really anything that could replace it besides Croagunk or Stunky - both which have already been used up.
 
Jessie always have a snake - Ekans/Arbok and than Seviper
It'll be stupid to have her for more than 10 years with a snake Pokémon and as the "main" one than suddenly let her be without any snake (and there isn't any new snake to "replace" it)
So I hope and also sure that Seviper won't leave
Also as you said Seviper isn't coupled with Cacnea as a "set" anymore but now it seems like the "main" ones are Carnivine and Seviper - so while Cacnea will leave it isn't the "main" Pokémon for James since DP2 while Seviper is still Jessie's "main" and there isn't any new snake

I agree with the others here... Jessie just isn't Jessie without a snake. Hopefully, the writers will remember that and have Seviper stick around... at least until a new snake is revealed (if Gen V is go).

I'll be annoyed if Seviper leaves either way. I'm always annoyed when a Rocket Pokemon leaves, because the chances of us seeing them again are slim to none.
 
I really wish you would stop saying she's going to release Dustox. You have absolutely NO PROOF she's going to do so.

but really, if poor Cacnea goes, can Dustox leaving be too far behind?
 
Not to mention in the ending theme Cacnea/Dustox are suspiciously placed right next to each other as if both can be replaced by a new Pokemon pose. Seviper isn't next to them however.
 
I had a crazy thought, which is probably really bad.

What if Jessie keeps Seviper till about three quarters through Sinnoh then gets rid of it and gets a Gen V snake pokemon. Everyone is happy, those that want seviper gone and those that want her with a snake pokemon.

Well the people that like seviper won't be but I find it has gotten very stale, at least cacnea was adorable when hugging James.

That's what I thought. It wouldn't make me happy, since I hate it when TR Pokemon leave, but at least Jessie won't be left without her obligatory snake.
 
perhaps they could extend the classification of "snake" and give her a Dragonair.
 
Seviper is fine, I'd rather Jessie let go of her Dustox myself.

James needs to catch a Spiritomb though, please! :-D

That snake is definitely the coolest one and one of my favourite pokés on the show. I'd hate to see it leave. With the ending theme, Musashi is actually touching Habunake, so I find it hard to believe it'll be leaving any time soon.
 
Actually, I think it's time for Seviper to go away. It do a good job for Jessie, but now, I think Jessie and especially we viewers deserve something new. For those who say Jessie allways have snake. Yes. But that is why I want to see something new. We Czechs says "Změna je život", "Change is a life", and after ten years of Jessie with snake, we deserve change finally. Think about it. It would be a fresh air to the show.
 
I have no problem with Jessie getting rid of Seviper, but if they replace it with something cute, I'll throw a fit. I just don't see Jessie 'meshing' with something so adorable. She needs another poison type. Dustox is cool, because she sees beauty there where a lot of people don't. One of the reasons I heart Jessie when she's not being an insane uber bitch.

Why would that be a breath of fresh air? Arbok/Weezing were beyond stale by the end of Johto, but Seviper hasn't been run into the ground like those two were...at least not yet.
 
Jessie loosing Seviper is extremely unlikely. The writers have made it pretty clear that Jessie must always have a snake Pokémon. It is her signature.

No 4th gen snake = Seviper's staying. Of course, the writers could throw us a curve ball (read: They have done that quite a bit this season), but I think it is much more likely Dustox is the only Pokémon of Jessie's that is on the list to go.
