Is anyone here a fan of Doctor Who? I'm currently re watching the series.

Discuss your thoughts on anything Doctor Who related. Favourite Doctor, favourite companion, favourite episode or season.

Any items you think could make interesting sonic items besides a sonic screwdriver?

Discuss anything, and don't blink.

Give me a full LEGO: Doctor Who game (none of this Infinity stuff or whatever it's called) and I will be all over it.

Eleven would make a good LEGO, I think.

Might just be the best opening two episodes in recent memory. Holy smokes.

'The bitch is back'?
Oh Missy, you are now my favourite Doctor Who character

S9 has been great so far, looking forward to tomorrow's episode

My favorite companion is probably Donna.

Anyone a fan of classic who? Two is my favorite. I think I have a tendency to like even numbered doctors.

I really enjoy episode 1 and two of Series 9. Best opening episodes since the show came back.

I just watched the most recent episode of Doctor Who on ABC2, and I can't believe that Clara Oswald is dead. She was one of my favourite companions along with Martha Jones, Jack Harkness and Amy Pond. I would like to see Jack Harkness return for a few episodes though, and River Song will be back in the Christmas episode this year. It will be weird without Clara though.

Happy Doctor Day, everybody!

In honor of this glorious occasion, myself and several other users are theming Doctors and invading the Random Messages thread in F&G.

Please join us for the festivities!

You don't even have to be a Regeneration of the Doctor. We've got Dr. Zoidberg, Dr. Mario, and the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager joining us.

10 is bae
Donna is fantastic
I cross - ship every doctor and every master

Edit: @Random Punster; I didn't like it.
There was the random thing that cybermen can feel love (they can't), the weird hanging out the Tardis bit at the beginning, the plot-convenient death technicalities, the doctor threatening to kill hundreds of innocents if Clara died despite the fact it's Clara's fault, the slightly odd semi-romantic scene between the two, the shade thingy, and finally Clara's anticlimactic death.
It wasn't as emotional or dramatic as it should've been. A disappointment, really.

Let's see where things go from here. Effectively, this is another 3 part season finale, like at the end of Season 3.

I do admit that there were plot holes, but I believe that you will find, as of the Season 8 finale, Cybermen can experience love, as Pink did with Clara. As for the episode as a whole, that weird shade thing was somewhat interesting, but out of left field. It was also fairly predictable that the transfer of the "tatoo" to Clara would result in her death, but that's mostly because we knew she was leaving after this season.
As for the hanging out of the TARDIS, that was probably a reference back to Day of the Doctor, when the Doctor was hanging out of the TARDIS.
It isn't surprising that the Doctor made threats when Clara was about to die, we've seen what an angry Doctor is capable of before. What's more surprising is that he didn't even offer to have the quantum tatoo transferred to himself. We've seen the Doctor sacrifice himself for his companions in the past, too, and the fact that he didn't is somewhat shocking.
As for the semi-romantic scene, think about it, by the definition of her character, Clara is the person who knows the Doctor better than anyone but himself. As his Impossible Girl, she saved him countless times throughout his past. It's not entirely surprising that he's upset and outraged that she's about to die.
I will agree with you about the anti-climactic death scene, though. She'd have been better off dying in many other ways.

Plus, beyond all that, I'm rather upset that an episode involving a raven didn't have Edgar Allen Poe in it.

Just caught up

Overall the Raven episode was pretty good... up until the last few minutes. I felt like Clara's death was anticlimactic and handled poorly.

On the bright side, 90% of this season has actually been pretty good. The Girl Who Died was excellent, The Girl Who Lived was pretty good and I enjoyed the Zygone two-parter. I've been enjoying the new character, Shilda, quite a bit. It's a bit strange seeing Arya from Game of Thrones and the Doctor interact though xD In all seriousness, I'm looking forward to possibly seeing her in the two part finale.

On a less happy note, I absolutely hated Sleep No More. I'm already not a fan of most episodes that are like this already. (I.E. Cold War, 42 etc episodes that take place on a ship) I just found it boring and I found the found footage idea to be tacked on. The confusing ending didn't help either. Overall not a fan.

Here's hoping the finale will be good!

The first of the two part finale was....eh, alright. I was hoping something more spectacular.
