Does anyone else not like Sinnoh Badges?

I mean I do like them, though they were a little offputting when compared to past regions.

All the other regions' badges look very personalized and unique. However Sinnoh's all are trimmed with silver and I just feel they lost a lot of personality that way.

Just my two cents haha

You do have a point there, though I would personally choose the Johto League Badges instead. For some reason I like them a lot.

As for the Sinnoh League Badges, I guess they were trying for a different look when they designed those, to make the Badges all have a similarity, and thus make them look like they were following some guidelines officially recognized by the Sinnoh League. If you compare those Badges with the Indigo League's, you'll notice that the IL Badges seem to be following their own aesthetic style apart from everyone else, thus (in a way) making them look less official.

At least, that's my take on that.

And these you can shine, so that's a bonus for 4th gen. I agree with the above that they are trying to show guidelines. I do like 1st gen's more though.

Really? I love Sinnohs badges. They have a nice design and a style that's consistent, giving them a greater sense of coherency. You can tell that they came from the same region. In comparison, the Kanto ones you used as an example just look random, and lack any distinguishing features that tie them together.

As the gyms are all tied to the Pokemon League in their particular region and are not self-standing entities, I think that the badges are better designed as a set rather then individually. So you know what region they're from by looking at them.

The thing is, they look more abstract. Not as strait foreword. They still look cool, but it's not quite as obvious as to what they are.

Well the only thing I like about the Sinnoh badges is that you can shine them then play pretty music. My favorite badges were from Kanto because they look so unique.
