Does anyone know if the intro will be the same?

No, it won't be the same. From what we've seen, it has 3D models of Ho-oh and Lugia, and it will probably be changed even more from there.

oh well that's ok it ain't that big of a deal. well at least the lugia and ho-oh part are almost the same.
 
The intro, from what we've seen, shows 3D models of Ho-Oh and Lugia flying along with clips of the Rival and Team Rocket.
 
...um. That's just the commercial.

The intro likely will be like the GS one, just like how FRLG's was like the RG one.

I hated DPPt's intros, as they consisted mostly of only random ingame footage instead of the original, creative animations of previous games. They were lazy intros. And carrying over a previously used intro style instead of coming up with something new and fresh is even lazier. So meh, I hope they change the intro, but it seems nearly impossible by now.

I know Platinum's intro was a bit better because of Cyrus, but I still consider it subpar compared to previous generations.

Aanyways, it's just the intro, that won't kill the game.
 
It was pretty obvious the 3D shots of Ho-Oh and Lugia were from a DS, there are way too many jagged polygons in their bodies to be made for a commercial.
 
I doubt even WPM's thing is the "final" intro. Demo games never have that, and that wouldn't be the first thing they'd work on.

I hope you're right, I loathed the DPPt intros.

Did the DP demo use the same intro as the game? I seem to recall that they did, though I may be wrong.
 
I thought I was the only one who didn't like DPPt's intros. Anyways, being only two months ahead of the games' release, I doubt they will change the intro shown for HGSS.

Anyway, I hope you're right, too. 3D is nice, but I'd prefer an update of the original GS intros with 3D models. (Yes, I know, I'm nostalgic. Complain or whatever so we can move on.) I feel like the DP intro was to show off "Hey, better graphics!" We know you have better graphics now. That's not what we're playing HgSs for.

I wanted the intro to be a revamped Gold/Silver opening,with the Ho-Oh and Lugia sprites being in their respective parts of the opening but..Since it's a remake and all..

I'm okay with a fourth generation-like opening,3D,yadda yadda.

But,has it been shown that the opening is all Ho-Oh/Lugia?

They really went alittle overboard with the platinum introduction. I really dont like the "Gamefreak" right under Giratina on the home screen.
But yeah Veggietable was right, it wont kill the game just for that. Im actually quite excited for Heart Gold.

Diamond,Pearl & Platinum's introductions were all a little over board, especially the scene with the guitar comes in, and who cares if the GameFreak thing is at the bottom of the screen , its nothing major, it just says developed by GameFreak, I don't see any problem with it. But anyway....
