No one really ships the parents, besides Delia, with anyone other then their marriage partner for whatever reason.

Does anyone ship the parents, be it with their husband/wife or not? Be it any-of-the-manga!parents, game!parents, or anime!parents?

Why do you ship those shippings?

I ship Johanna and Looker. I've always thought Dawn's/Lucas's dad died when s/he was a toddler, and I find it adorable that they would try to pair them up.
 
Nice idea. Some parents are single, so why not give them a little love.
 
I came up with LikeComingHomeShipping (SoulxDelia) but I don't support it.
 
Eldershipping (Oak/Delia) is fairly popular. With good reason, as far as I'm concerned, they hang out together WAY too often. You're more likely to find Delia in Oak's lab than in her own house...
 
Most of the parents in the anime are completely messed up. James' crazy parents, Brock's parents, Ash and Dawn having single parents, Misty, Gary and Tracey's parents being non-existant, etc.

It seems to me that May and Max are the only main characters that actually have a normal family.

Same with the game. Most characters don't have a "traditional" family.

Red/Leaf's dad is always working. Green lives with his older sister, and presumably his grandfather.
Hibiki/Kotone(Kris?)'s mom is single. Silver's dad abandoned him.
Brendan/May have Norman and their mom, or their mom and brother. Wally has his..Aunt and uncle, I think.
Dawn/Lucas's dad is probably dead, and if they're your friend they live with..I think that's their grandfather, maybe it's their dad, and their sister. Pearl has his parents, but his dad always works.

Actually, Brendan/May have Norman and his wife, or Professor Birch, his wife and Brendan/May's younger brother. Wally has his parents, but he was sent to live with his aunt, uncle and cousin to treat his illness (possibly asthma). And Lucas/Dawn either has Johanna or both of Rowan's assistants for parents plus a younger sister.
 
No one ships parents besides Delia simply because they're old couples.

I forgot, sorry. That's what I thought with Wally. I couldn't recall Brendan/May as the rival too much.

..That lady is Lucas's mom? I thought she was some random lady; I don't recall anything in-game that confirmed that. Makes sense though.

I ship Norman with like, everyone. Cause he's amazing like that. <3
My favorites are HeartScale (wallace/norman, which i named lolol) and ChildAbuse (norman/ruby, yeah i know D:), but he's basically compatible with most anyone in the RSE generation.
And then I ship Prof. Birch with his lab assistant Joshua, mainly. Convenienceshipping is basically an OTP of mine that no one else likes. /sad panda
Let's see... I ship Palmer with Nejiki & Pearl (again, D:) for the most part. Koga I ship with Lt. Surge and Green... *ponders*
Byron & Ian, though I heart Byron and Riley as well.
Miyamoto & Madame Boss - two hot moms~~ 8D
And finally, Giovanni, who I ship with pretty much EVERYONE. Delia, Mondo, James, Lance, Red, Cassidy, etc. etc... He can make any pairing sexy. ;3

I used to ship Violet May with Norman, but I stopped because I noticed how awkward my version of May was with my version of Norman. Now I just slightly ship Johanna/Dawn, Dawn/Whoever-the-cupcake-her-dad-is and Silver/Giovanni. All one-sided.

Ah. I ship game!Leaf/Red's mom with Oak for some strange reason. I also slightly, very slightly, ship Hibiki/Kotone's mom with Eusine.

Ash/Prof. Oak. With Oak being aware that Ash is the young boy he fell for four decades ago but mature enough to know that nothing could never, should ever happen between the two of them. Throw in my "Older-teenage!Ash with a sex addiction and abandonment issues" intepretation of Ash in a few years and make him lusting after Oak and you have a whole lot of angsty fun. >.<;

Also Norman and Prof. Birch freaking wins. Brendan and Archie can go along with either of them.

Never thought about that. Birch freaks me out. Maybe it'll happen after May/Brendan's mom divorces Norman. I can't see them lasting for long, Norman is in love with being a gym leader.
 
I love me some Caroline (May's mom lol) x Delia. :B
