Does anyone really miss Max?

He's about the same as Tracey to me.

He was ok at times, but he was always intended as a support character.

To be honest I'm surprised Max got totally ignored when May made her cameo in DP, all he got was some non-speaking scenes watching the contest with Norman/Caroline.

But then again neither Tracey nor Misty made speaking-role appearances in DP either, so I guess Max is the same as them now.
 
No one cares about male characters.

Everyone makes an enormous deal over female characters due to the fandom being mostly male. Few people really care about the male characters.
 
I didn't really have the chance to follow the advanced generation in the anime, but I did like Max in the movies and the few episodes I saw. I do think that he wasn't really a super interesting personality most of the time. I just don't think enough was done to make him special, and he just kind of blended in.
 
MAX WAS MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER (he made me like the advance series)! To me he was the best sarcastic character! He also actually put down Ash in the begining and it was funny! Now if only he were older and could battle. Ah yes I miss his small talks that were funny! (In my opinion Ash is cool but he was just an imatation of Red!)
 
Not really, I never really liked that kid for some reason. I always thought that he was annoying.
 
I was actually thinking about this earlier today, but no I never really cared for him.
 
I guess I do miss him, kind of. I miss Misty and May, like, INSANE amounts, but I do kinda miss seeing that kid around. He never used to appeal to me that much, but he grew on me instantly after watching the Jirachi movie. He did get very stale to me during BF, and I don't really miss him that much, but I do sometimes, when I remember his several good moments throughout AG.
 
Yeah, I miss Max.
Of course I miss Misty and May too. But it isn't just those two.
May, Misty Drew, Harley, Solidad... they're all easy to find in fanfictions but you don't see Max nearly as often. Heck, I even miss Tracey a bit. It's just characters that aren't really popular with the rest of the fandom can be easy to miss because there's like no signs of them.
 
I miss Max. He was cute. =] I'd like to see him again, though it wouldn't really bother me if we never did.
 
I do miss him, in fact. Even though he was a support character, it did bring a fresh viewpoint in the anime of a kid who isn't old enough to become an official trainer and is yet traveling with trainers older than him, though I think that seems to be overlooked.

Thus lending further legitimacy to my theory that, at heart, all Pokémon fans are huge perverts.

I actually am a little curious about Masato. It would have been nice if he'd tagged along with Haruka when she went to Shinou - he wouldn't have had to play a large role in the episodes, just maybe a brief subplot explaining what he's been up to. He could have begun his Pokémon journey by now, and maybe had a brief practice battle with Satoshi, and maybe even turned out to be really really good. But then again, I'm always thinking about how certain episodes can improve, even if they're good to begin with.
 
Who exactly is this "Max" individual you speak of? Perhaps he is not nearly as popular as was intended by his masters.

I really miss Max. It was really nice to have a non-Rocket main character I actually give a damn about.
 
Not really... but I'd like to see him finally becoming a trainer... new Chronicles anyone?
 
I don't really miss him, but Masato was so cute anyway. ;w;
