Does Ash use the same Tauros everytime or does Prof. Oak send him a random one?

Everytime Ash uses his Tauros this question always bothers me. Will somebody answer this???
 
Why dos Ash make Oak take care of and feed all 30 Tauros if he only needs one? Think of the food and space that could be saved if he sent them back to the Safari Zone!

I'd rather him trade the other 29 for other Pokes; we know he's cool with that sort of thing now. :D
 
No doubt it's a random Tauros. I mean out of 30 that look pretty much exactly the same, is Prof. Oak really going to bother with picking a certain one out?

you never know, ash could only be using the leader of the pack
 
Maybe they have tags on the like real farm cattle. Of course, then we should be seeing them,shouldn't we?;)
 
I think it'd make more sense for him to be using the same one; it could gain more battling experience that way and be more useful if he needed it later on.

We don't know, though. It WOULD be hard to keep up with, unless you tied a ribbon around its neck or something.
 
I suppose it makes more sense for him to be using the same one, but it as you pointed out it is not explicitly stated. The way he addresses it and the fact that it seems to know the same attacks would suggest that it's the same Tauros.
 
I'm still not sure about it, but someone said it was the same tauros because it gets stronger everytime.

And for some unknow reason this Tauros seem to be placed inside of Pokeball instead of Safari Ball.
 
Tauros learned Double Team when he used it in BF, so if we see Tauros do that attack again its probably the same one.
 
What ever happened to Brock's Tauros?

I assume Ash uses the same one,but like Scott said,we'll have to wait&see if it uses Double Team
 
I thought I heard that the Safari Ball Brock used actually was Ash's, so it just went to Oak's farm anyway. Either that or Brock let it go. He obviously doesn't have a Tauros now.

Exactly on the money from what I got it was Ash's pokéball and Brock caught another tauros with it. The real question is why catch another bull if your friend has already caught a stupendous amount already?
 
Actually, the Tauros were caught on accident. They kept running in the way every time Ash tried to catch a different Pokémon (I assume it was the same with the one Brock threw)
 
Right you are I just looked it up myself here. There is even a mention in the trivia section about Brock's catch and why it belongs to Ash.

It was not entirely Brock's fault. Brock caught one or two for Ash. That much is true. You see, they had a bet going with TR about which team could catch the most Pokemon. If Satoshi-tachi caught the most -- specifically Satoshi/Ash himself -- then TR would leave the Safari Zone. If the Rocket Gang won, however, then Ash would give all his Pokemon to them.

TR only made so they could grille the warden about the location of Dratini. So they weren't even actually trying. But Ash did. As a sort of joke, though, every time Ash would try to capture a different Pokemon, a herd of Tauros would stampede in the way of the oncoming Pokeballs. Ash lost a very strong looking Rhyhorn in this way.
