Does Ash Wear Socks?

Yes I know a weird question me and my friend who are fans of pokemon since we played Red and Blue noticed something. In all the episodes well me and him have seen we have never seen Ash wear socks XD Well this got me curious and I saw an episode just now in a gym where Brock took off his shoes but Ash didn't. So any answers XD?

Both Misty and Max definitely don't wear socks. Ash waers white socks in his Kanto/Johto and Hoenn outfits, but I am not sure about his actual outfit. I remember seeing him barefooted in one episode (I think it was the one where Dawn captures Pachirisu, but I am not sure), but he just comes out of his sleeping bag, so it can means nothing.

But yeah, Ash wears socks. When he needs to take his socks off, he probably stuffs them into his shoes.

The main characters that I can think off that didn't normally wear socks were Misty and Max. Max had those slip-on shoes young kids would wear, while Misty had sneakers (they must have reeked badly).

But it's still his regular pair of shoes, and it'd make no sense for him to suddenly wear socks just because of the maid outfit
