Does it annoy you when people don't put the accent on the e?

Does it. Went I look at "Pokemon" it just annoys me a little, it annoyed my just writing it. I know many people don't know the combination to make the accent e.
 
Not really. Pokémon is technically the right way to spell it, but Pokemon is fine, at least for me.
 
I don't do it in my writing hehe, I just figure people know what I mean without having to do the combo each time. so it doesn't really bother me at all when other people don't do it.

It does however, bother me when people pronounce it like Poke-UH-mon or Poke-EEE-mon...
 
It's alright as long as people say 'mon' alright. Like

"po-ke-mon' Just don't stress the e.

What even worse is Pokeemon though. XP @+X Gah.. it hurts to even type it!
 
Put it this way: they will all burn. I am SO grateful that Bulbapedia is as strict as it is in that regard.

What really annoys me is people pronounce pokémon as po-kee-mon thats WHY the ACCENT mark is there, its not an apostrophe. FLIPPIN' HECK, it really annoys me po-KEE-mon :mad: UGH.
At least Japanese people can say it correctly than any one else.
 
It only annoys me if someone writes "Pok'emon" or "Pok`emon" or something like that.

I sometimes write it as "Pokemon" since I only figured out how to make the "é" recently since I didn't have the Spanish keyboard on my computer nor the accent key.
 
It rages me when people don't write it correctly. For Arceus' sake, man, you only need to press the accent key and then the E key! >.<
 
^Not everyone has an accent key on their keyboard nor do they have other languages on their computer.
 
i couldn't think of anything i care less about.

The only place where is even comes close to mattering is with things like Bulbagarden or fan fiction.

but in general typing on a forum

Yes, but only if you're using the US-International keyboard. I think a lot more people should use the US-Internationl keyboard though... it's well cool.
 
Not really, even though I do use it. Not everyone knows about the ability to switch keyboards for PCs, or the alt+E trick for Macs. I had to live with doing it for half a year, though, because only after I did some research did I discover you can use it on a PC laptop - before that, I was saying 'Pokemon' too. What gets to me, though, is what Meron mentioned: using 'Pok'emon' or 'Pok`emon' or 'Poke`mon' or whatever.
