Does Red have a last name?

I'm just wondering because we can assume Blue's last name is Oak and all the other important characters have anime counterparts that have last names (and no, Ash doesn't count for this one).
 
Really? Red doesn't have a canon one as far as I know, and neither does Brock.
 
Well that's kind of irritating from a fan fic writing perspective...
 
I think this thread is going to star with one person saying "no", and the rest making up Red's last name just for fun.

To answer your question, no he does not have a last name.

And for the lulz, his last name is Bull me thinks.

Maybe his name is like Mario's and that his last is the same as his first. Red Red. Hmmm.

I played Red and Fire Red and Soul Silver, And I looked on Bulbapedia, but I thought there might have been something I missed in game, and you can't trust an encyclopedia to have all the answers.
