Does stopping evolution affect stats?

Pretty much the question in the title. For example, if I stop a Pokemon's evolution for a few levels then allow it to evolve, will the stats differ from if I allowed it to evolve in the first place?

If you mean the max stats it'll have (as a fully-evolved creature at Level 100), then the answer is No. Preventing evolution is a perfectly good way to learn certain moves more quickly (depends on the species), and there are no negative consequences to the creature's final outcome.

As an example ...

- You tell Bulbasaur not to evolve until Level 98, at which point you let it become an Ivysaur. And then at Level 99, you let it become a Venusaur. This would be fine, and -- assuming your creature has all of its effort points -- your final Venusaur would be maxed out.
