Does the gag with Ash in his underwear will have a Best Wishes variation?

As mentioned on Bulbapedia's EP022 trivia, that the gag with Ash in his underwear would later have variations in Holiday Hi-Jynx, The Crystal Onix, Gone Corphishin' and Pruning a Passel of Pals.

So it means, one of the future episodes of Best Wishes have this variation. (As they did on BW001, where a throwback is shown based on the first episode of the series)
 
The OP means episodes where Ash is actually shown in his underwear (although when did "The Crystal Onix" have such a thing? I saw screenshots of the episode but didn't see it).

That's even a "gag"?
 
This gag didn't even last past Kanto in the dub. I don't recall it in Orange or Johto.
 
A character stripping to his underwear for practical purposes once in a blue moon is a gag now?
 
The gag is whenever Ash and his mom are talking and his mom says, "Now make sure to change and clean your underwear everyday." (or something similar since I can't remember word for word)

I am amazed at some peoples' diligence in finding each and every underwear-related joke.

That being said, the only "gags" you'll find nowadays are ones involving Croagunk and Brock's butt.
 
And the one with Piplup and Gible, but thats already finished.
I would like to see more of this underwear "gag", it gets so funny. :D

Eh, sometime it looked like Croagunk missed by a little bit.

But regardless, if the gag never made it out of Kanto, I see no reason why it would suddenly start up again.
