Many are speculating about Ash and co. going to Johto. May has shown to already have 3 Johto ribbons. Maybe more by now. By the time they get to Johto, won't the Johto Grand Festival be over, if Dawn does want to do the Johto contests? Unless they do a long arc about Dawn or she suddenly want's to do the Pokéthlon.

We don't know where Ash is going after Sinnoh. Its possible he won't go to Johto at all if they want to keep the title as DP all generation.

While there is a difference between the titles from both sagas, I don't think that the title being Diamond and Pearl would make it impossible for Ash and his friends to go to Johto. As Aladar mentioned, neither "We Will Be Heroes" or "Stand Up! (Battle Cry)" mentioned Diamond and Pearl in the lyrics. Besides that, if/when they go to Johto, I'm sure that they will still focus on the fourth generation Pokemon and human characters, especially if they have the Frontier Brains there. Johto Pokemon and locations would also be focused. I know that they met Palmer and he's in Sinnoh, but I don't think that it's impossible to move the Sinnoh Frontier Brains to Johto. Even some reason like they wanted to test out the Battle Frontier in a different region could work.

It hasn't been about "Diamond and Pearl" since Together, and its even less so in the dub. We're going to have a movie with all of the Johto legendaries, yet that's titled "Diamond and Pearl". It's stupid and hopefully they'll have Gen V's title be something less exclusive, but the title has no bearing on where we're going after Sinnoh.

The Johto stuff makes sense, but wouldn't May be done with her journey like...a while ago? She had 3 ribbons as of DP79, and probably got back about 3 episodes after the Wallace Cup ended. She probably got her other 2 ribbons around DP 100, since she doesn't have things slowing her down like when she traveled with Ash, and her Grand Festival's probably over, maybe around DP 130 was when that happened. So by the time Ash and Co. get to Johto, if they go, a whole new contest circuit would have started already.

Shit Dawn must be lucky to be entering in the only Sinnoh Grand Festival ever.

If that wasn't enough how many times does Dogasu have to point out that Contests are not once a year type thing in his episode comparisons. And we also don't know how much time has passed since May returned to Johto, or whether or not if the Grand Festival took place.

For all we know a third of year has passed, Grand Festival has concluded and they're already starting up again. I mean seriously does it matter if Dawn enters Johto Contests, enters the grand festival and May isn't involved in any way, shape or form?

And for all we know contests were going on in Sinnoh while Ash was doing the battle frontier.

And as Dogasu pointed out before there is no reason to create an epic bulding like contest halls if it's only going to be used once a year.

That's like saying Walmart or some mall only opens once a year and is closed the rest of the year. What a complete waste of money.

At least Indigo Plateau is home to contests and the league. What about the other Grand Festival Buildings and leagues?
