You call yourselves police?
In the games, the region's police force has trouble with the same region's resident criminal gang, however the protagonist has no problem defeating them by him/herself, and more specifically their leader, forcing the gang to disband.
I can't think of a title right now
When it comes to the Elite Four, there's at least one of them who doesn't know you by name, despite all your accomplishments in said region.
Cases in point for that second one, Lorelei in R/B/Y/FR/LG (in the actual Elite Four, not in the Sevii Islands), Koga in G/S/C, and everybody in R/S/E.
