Your parents complain about not going outside, or playing video games all the time? I try to tell them, if they had video games back then like we do today, they'ed be hooked, like us. I even go for walks, 2-3 times a day, and they still won't get off my back. What gets me madder is next year, they're going to make me study 2 hours a day, even though I get nearly straight A's. (A's, B's, sometimes C's, but they aren't often.)

Yes and no.

My parents bug me about playing too much video games and watching TV and what not. But they know I'm a straight A student. As long as I keep bringing in the marks I can do whatever I want in my free time.

They keep using the "aren't you a little old for silly games?" comment. Meanwhile I'm sniping peoples heads of in GTA. xP
Some of my friends' parents play video games, and some people my age don't. It really depends on the person, some people are never really attracted to the concept of wasting time with video games.

i hate it sooo much when my parents bug me about wanting to go places during the summer.they are just so lazy sometimes.whenever i ask them if we could go out for once, they say that i always want to go out,but i barely ask,and it's almost the end of summer, and so far i'm bored to death,i don't think i'll survive the rest of the month!!!

Same with me.

:p All that stuff is good for you, though.. studying when you have an A is good practice for College later (when you will actually have to work for good grades). Regular exercise also is good for keeping people healthy, and over stimulation of anything, video games or not, is bad.

Hate to say it but your parents are right :p

Though, in alls fairness, it can be true that you do all the stuff they say, yet they still tell you that kind of stuff when ever you do play. I'll agree with you then..

My mom did that when I was a teenager and she had made me uninstall the copy of Grand Theft Auto III Windows version that my cousin gave me because I wasn't 17. She said that GTA would make me go crazy. She hated that I had the Game Boy Color version of Grand Theft Auto 1, but it was rated Teen. She had made me exchange a copy of Diablo for the PC that I had gotten from my Aunt on Christmas because I wasn't 17, too. My Grandmother couldn't stand that my cousin would ground his boys for getting 1 B on their report card. Dr. Phil McGraw had told a set of parents off for doing that. He had said, "Every child isn't going to be a straight A student. At least she isn't close to failing." The girl on Dr. Phil was getting Bs in Algebra class and her Uncle had emailed the Dr. Phil show.
