Double OR Single?

I want to find out what type of battles people prefer to do over wifi and actualy in game. I know when i was on Saphire and my first double battle took place against to twins and im still doing it in Generation 4 games (platnuim/Diamond) and i wonderd why people would enjoy single battles.

Especially in the Battle Tower.

Plus, there are a lot more of different combinations to work with.

I love double battles. It's one of the best additions Pokemon ever got. The parts where you have a partner to double battle with in DPPt are my favorite.

I don't like double battles, I like being able to use my powerful moves without killing my partner (surf/earthquake) :< At least ingame, on wifi I can more easily take things like that into account and set up my team to avoid that.
