"Teach me! Pocket Monsters" is not a regular episode. It's a special of some sort so it is not counted as DP120.

PokeAni has now revealed the real title of DP120:

The Lonely Snover!

Wonder if Candice will appear in this...
 
I knew "Teach Me! Pocket Monsters" can't be a regular episode. It sounds too much like a special.

What exactly "special" means in this case? Is it something like these quiz things? Or actually an episode like the recap episode or something?

Exactly what it is has not be revealed yet, unfortunately. It could be a recap clip show, it could be a quiz...

I guess we'll just have to wait.
 
Woo a snover, been wanting to see one in anime since I found one in game...wonder what the title means?
 
Is it confirmed that episode is officially not counted? The previous two recap episodes were counted... and not to mention this seems like a strange time to make a recap episode
The first recap was to remind us of Ash and May's Gyms and Contests before the GF and League
The second recap was after a year since DP began to remind us what happened in that year (Ash and Dawn meeting, the group's Pokémon, Ash and Dawn's rivals and their Gyms and Contests)

We aren't a few episodes before the GF/League and this isn't DP anniversary like the previous recap was
Wait... does this thing air at the end of March/beginning of April? this is the anniversary of the whole anime (not just DP), so maybe somehow they'll have a recap of the whole show until now?... sounds crazy to show so much in 20 minutes but who knows... they might quickly go with the past events and focus more on DP
Or by the title of the thing... it could be something that explains generally what Pokémon is? this is ridiculous to do such thing all of a sudden...

Oh well... we'll have to wait and see
 
It's probably another one of those live-action quiz shows, meaning no real new animation.

I agree had "What Is Pokemon" been an episode it would've been okay because there could've been hope for some character development.

But since it's not an actual episode, it comes to "Too Little, Too Late" and it would seem rather annoying that they would do that. I mean usually after a break we get two episodes to make up for it, I guess it isn't the case here.

Of course I have to ask, would Pokeani know what the actual Pokemon number it is, or are they just assuming because "What is Pokemon" too odd of a title. Because in the US, don't we usually just have the title name, not the actual episode number?
 
I think for the Japanese version there a number of official sources with the official numbers (thoguh sometimes they contradict each other... like some don't count the Riolu episodes and others do)
 
I thought we found out that our numbers don't fit the official numbers after the Iron Island/Froslass leaks.

I mentioned the 12th anniversary of the series in the last thread but I still don't see how "teach us" indicates a clip show. It's probably just another of those live action features because that is cheaper than producing a full episode.

As for the new title, while the chances are slim it sounds like a title for an episode around Ranger Partner Pokémon. At the very least, this is probably an indication that we are near to Lake Acuity, Snowpoint City and Candice.

It seems like the VA scripts do not count the Riolu episodes but TV Tokyo counts them
Both are official but contradict each other... it's stupid not to count the Riolu episodes since they're really regular episodes just like any other two parter... I don't know why they did it
 
It's about time we got to that Pokemon. I'm also glad "Teach me! Pocket Monsters" isn't a regular episode as I've never liked clip shows. At least if it's a live action thing it'll be something different.
 
Some people are saying James will catch a snover in this episode but I highly dought it. I beileve this episode will be about Candice and how she doesn't give enough attenchen to her snover and at the end it'll evolve into abamosnow since it wasn't debuted either.
 
I think it's really stupid to believe James will get another grass type while he still has Carnivine
I'm pretty sure Carnivine will stay here until there's a new grass type to hurt him next gen... but Mime might be "replaced" with next gen baby sometime in the future... but I really think for now James is going to stay with his current "team"

Jessie and James's team are very unbalanced. Jessie has 3 while James only has 2. Yes, I know James hardly uses them but he at least has to be tied with Jessie.

It's been the same since Hoenn.

The writers obviously consider Wobbufett as more of a mascot, hence why they don't feel the need to give James 3.

TBH, I feel that Manene fills the same category of cute but useless, but they're not gonna give Kojiro any more, especially not another grass type (which is just as well, since people are already complaining that he and his are neglected).

I really hope that it is quickly confirmed that Suzuna/any trainer has something to do with this. I don't think I can bee bothered with OmGz-Jamez-iz-gonna-capture-it!! speculation.

What sort of live quiz show could the teaching one be? Have they done this before? I really hope that it isn't another clip show, booooring.
 
Snover isntantly tells me that they are near Snowpoint, no doubt. The last of the lake trio, Uxie, will make its debut soon, along with Candice and the Snowpoint Gym, and lastly, Zoey. The question is, who will see Uxie.

As for this Snover, it could be a random one, or Candice's.
 
We're already seeing Snovers, so that means we're close to Snowpoint and possibly Lake Acuity.
