There's a lot going on in this preview. The focus of the episode seems to be on developing Ash and Shinji's relationship and they fall off a cliff at one point. (You'd think the government would put up railings with how often that happens.)

There's also a lot of Naetle since it's a recent capture. The main battle is between it and Hikozaru but Pochama and Aipom are also attacking it...
 
Satoshi's outfit is so cute.
They both look cute.
So, are there already Shinji x Satoshi shippers?
 
Ash/Shinji wasn't looking too good in DP003 but this episode might bring in the shippers.

Really? My impression is that Shinji wants nothing to do with Ash and Ash is trying to be friendly to him. It fits what we know about the characters...
 
You know, it'll really suck if Ash and Shinji become too friendly too fast.

The whole point of Shinji was he WASN'T another "nice guy" rival, but a real guy who could piss Ash off.

The closest we had to two rivals hating each others guts were May and Harley, but Shinji better fall into this category too.

God forbid that we have another friendly rivalry, those are always boring. They have good potential with Shinji, let's hope they don't screw this up.
 
That picture is fully in character for both of them including the fact that Ash is a nice guy and Shinji doesn't want to be friendly. I fail to see how this suggests that the writers will completely reverse what they set up only three episodes ago.

And if they do, I'll call Shinji a May rehash. :p
 
Let's hope they keep their rivalry like this then, I hope they don't work together too much in this episode.

Shinji/Ash friendship is going to be awfully boring, especially this early in the saga.
 
No, the preview definately makes it clear Shinji is not enjoying the pair up.

Well Ash is always friendly whether with a rival or a friend, he just likes to be nice is all. I can't wait for the episod, I love Shinji/Ash episodes, they've been aweome so far.

There's only been one Ash/Shinji episode so far...

I'm looking forward to seeing how things develop in this episode anyway.
 
I swear this whole Shinji x Ash relationship reminds me so much of Yugi x Kaiba....(to a lesser extent)

So in this episode, Shinji will be setting a dozen death traps and hire a bunch of psychotic mass murderers to get revenge on the kid who dared to tie with him in their last battle?

In the anime there have always been friendly rivals, so this is good for a change if Shinji remains to be the jackass he is.

And yeah, Ash would totally own Shinji if he used his old Pokemon against him.
