Hickory presumably's depressed about getting pummled, Ash and Nozomi FAIGHT! Jessie does something too that I'm not certain of. Either she battles Nozomi and Ash beats Hickory, or she loses to Ash. Or Ash and Nozomi is in fact the semi-final and the preview is deceiving us again. Bad preview. Oh, and of course at some time Nozomi will be all. "Ash don't enter any more and beat Hickory otherwise she'll get depressed and it'll be harder for me to get into her pants."

Do we see who Jessie is using for round two? I assume Masukippa again.

I guess the switch is optional, since Ash is using Aipom again, but Hikari and Nozomi are using their others.

Do we know Nozomi is the girl?

Yeah, the preview does make it seem that Hikari loses early on and then cries while talking to her mother about it. I'm betting the final battle of the Contest is Ash Vs. Nozomi and Nozomi wins.

Ash decides not to enter anymore Contests, Nozomi cheers Hikari up, and all is well.

On another note, I'm surprised how far they pushed the Nozomi/Hikari stuff in the previous episode. Nozomi did Hikari's hair, held her hand, and Hikari actually blushes? Holy crap. They're definitely pushing the lesbianism with Nozomi, and Hikari seems to like it!

The (extremely awesome) Ash theme plays in the preview...

Did...Ash steal an episode?

Dude, what is WITH you and this whole 'Hikari's going to be a lesbian' thing? You don't know this for sure, and yet you seem totally into it? Why exactly? Just because she did her hair does NOT make her a lesbian, because girls do that all the damn time. Secondly, you don't even know exactly WHY Hikari was blushing, because 1. Nozomi helped Hikari off the ground, and 2. Nozomi said something afterwards, which I doubt you know the exact wording. Stop trying to make Hikari out to be something I highly doubt the writers would make her out to be.

What I find more interesting is why you're getting so worked up about this. Their interactions were certainly suggestive, especially Hikari blushing, and it's all in good fun anyway. You know, shipping?

What I want to know is why you're getting so defensive about this? Does the idea of Nozomi being a lesbian, (which from the way the writers have designed and written her, I wouldn't say she's far off), and has these cute scenes with Hikari bother you?

Calm the hell down.

The way the preview focuses around Ash so much makes me wonder if his appeal knocked Hikari out of the top group going on to the second round. It would certainly help go along with Nozumi calling Ash out for entering a contest when he has no intentions of being a full-time coordinator.

Nozomi said something afterwards, which I doubt you know the exact wording.
"Isn't it a little too early to be relieved? Meet you in the finals." ("Hotto suru no wa, chotto hayain ja nai. Fainaru de aun deshou.")

What I want to know is what Hikari said after that. ("Ah, are wa" what now?)

I'm getting worked up about it, because I've seen you around here pushing some belief that you have about Nozomi and Hikari being lesbians, without having any actual evidence about it. I don't do the shipping thing, because at the end of the day, they never actually end up together XD.

How is Nozomi designed to look like a lesbian? Because she has short hair and dresses semi like a tomboy? How exactly have they written her to be a lesbian? What 'cute' scenes? I just see them acting like normal females who are friends. Nothing more, nothing less. No, it doesn't bother me at all. I totally support gay rights, if that's the route your trying to go down.

Holy snap, you mean I was right? I thought Hikari's blushing was because she was so nervous, but I didn't know if I was hearing correctly. ^^;

You really shouldn't get worked up about it. As I said, it's all in good fun. I very much like what I've seen of Hikari and Nozomi's interactions so far, I'm interested if they'll have gradual development like May and Drew had.

You tell me.

She barely even looks like a girl in this pic, and the writers are very stereotypical with their character designs.

Hell, if you take out the eyelashes she could pass for a guy entirely. She has Wally's hair from the videogames.

I agree, but that doesn't mean you can't find stuff amusing such as Nozomi just walking up to Hikari and doing her hair without Hikari even asking, or Hikari having a little blush because of Nozomi's comment and helping her up. (which was translated above me)

I'm very excited to see how they'll interact this week as well. :x

O.O
Holy crap, you were right, Scott.
*jumps on the Hikari&Nozomi bandwagon*
Anyhoo, what attack did Aipom learn?
It couldn't have been Double Attack, because Aipom would have evolved, right?

wha??!!

could there really be lesbians in pokemon? i mean yea sure alot of characters in pokemon look gay (Harley) but will they really make them as a couple

I'm sure excited about this episode. Ash entering in a contest, weXD
I hope he enters in all of them but that's me.

What i find ammusing is that you still have to sugarcoat your every single post regarding this mess, from what i saw in the pictures the things they did in the previous episode was practically normal for girls, and thinking otherwise is opinion not fact.

What I want to know is why you're getting so defensive about this? Does the idea of Nozomi being a lesbian, (which from the way the writers have designed and written her, I wouldn't say she's far off), and has these cute scenes with Hikari bother you?.

Well why did you start it to begin with, is Misty a lesbian now? is Anabel? thier tomboys as well dude, and even if Harely was gay his mannerisms where not directed at anyone so that could be why the let it go, Hikari and Nozomi flirting and occasionally blushing over what the other says and does is perfect NORMAL for girls to do, but you and the other wacks who support this think it means something, nothing is destined in this show dude nothing.

You know on serebii you said you wanted this to happen so Male fans of hikari would turn away if she was attracted to girls, so this obviously roots back to the main reason you want this to happen, your precious May being replaced and her fan service base defecting under Hikari and you can't have that so you had to start up this mess to get them away and hope they come back to thinking May is the best, you can deny it till the day you die, but it is the truth from all the clues you've, and sugarcoating only helps dig you're grave deeper and deeper, so i think the biggest question is can anyone believe what you have to say anymore, i don't cause everything you type is a sugarcoated lie.

lol, seems some people aren't comfortable with the idea of a possible lesbian female lead. Whether Hikari is interested or not, you cannot turn a blind eye to the stereotypes they've given Nozomi. It's the same thing with Harley being gay and flamboyant.

Considering Misty and May were interested in boys, it would be a nice change of pace for Hikari to be interested in girls, (in this case, Nozomi) instead. :D

I can't wait to see how the Contest arc progresses. :x

But Scott what if Nozomi and Ash get togethger? I mean they practically have a love/hate realtionship going on now.

I doubt Ash is going to play much of a role in the Contest arc after Nozomi presumedly beats him next week.
