Musashi saves Eipam after she falls from a tree, so Musashi uses Eipam in a contest against Hikari and Pachirisu.

This is part of a one-hour special celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pokémon anime. It seems the other portion of the hour will be devoted to a trivia challenge of some sort.

This episode will air March 8, 2007 on TV Tokyo.
 
Oh this is a one hour episode too? I didn't know that. I can't wait for the Ash/Jessie subplot.

Quite frankly, I think its disappointing that they're giving Hikari's Contest only 1 episode this early on. Every Contest should be a two-parter if they aren't rushing, and its a shame that Hikari's isn't.
 
That sucks...but the Harley episode showed they can pull it off.
 
Awe I see, thanks for replying Scott...Harley isn't Hikari's rival he's May LOL. Maybe when Nozmi returns they can do a 1 hour special for the contest, right now they seem to be trying to push more things on for Ash, which I like. Any ways this episode sounds good and I also hope Jessie wins, she's more experinced with contests.

Meh, why is Hikari wearing her same pink dress from last time? :(

Don't the writers remember that Hikari has a bunch of dresses with her, and she even wears the red one in her ending theme? I thought something like this would happen, I really hope she's not going to wear just this same dress throughout every Contest. Considering Hikari's wardrobe is one of the only things that seperates her Contests from May's, I really hope she wears the other two dresses we saw at the beginning of D/P.

Doesn't seem like Nozomi is in this episode from that short preview, guess they're not going to have her be as important as Drew was early on.

Bit disappointing, considering this might be Hikari's first Contest win. Since Jessie is using Aipom that also means a lack of new debuts from other coordinators, aside from cameos I guess.
 
I'll be really disappointed if half of the special is that trivia thing they showed.
 
Urg...as expected..the animation look terrible...I´m not looking forward to the battles..let´s hope there will be some character development.

The animation is sub par but its not awful. This could either be Jessie's first Contest win or Hikari's.

Logically, Jessie should be able to win since she's been in so many Contests by now AND is using Ash's Aipom, whereas Hikari has never won a Contest yet and is using her newly caught Pachirisu.

But of course this is our leading protagonist vs. a villain, so Hikari probably has higher chances of winning just because of that.
 
The animation looks 10X worse simply because the previous episode was amazing.

yeah, that´s right. but yo have to agree that the double-team scene fromt he preview looks rather crappy in general.

the 1st gym-battle rematch wasn´t an Iwane episode, still it looked pretty nice imo...
 
Yah this episode doesn't look the greatest but at least they have that Ash/Jessie subplot to make up for it =/
 
Its an Aipom subplot, not really anything else since Jessie is always in Contests.
 
Yeah, the Aipom-Jessie team-up is what I'm excited about.

Because Aipom currently is probably Ash's best team member, and they really are developing the gal good.

Plus, Aipom seems to have become evil (But I wanted Aipom Kamen though, lol)
 
Makes you wonder what they're going to do with Aipom during every Contest. So far its entered both D/P Contests...and I wouldn't be surprised if Hikari ends up using it later on in a Contest.

Gosh I hope not, there probaly just putting them in as subplots for Ash in contest episodes. So far each contest Aipom has given Ash some thing to do in contests. Which is good ^^
 
I find the lack of discussion about this ep to be disappointing.

Why aren't people speculating if this will be Jessie's first Contest win or not? Why aren't people excited about Hikari getting her first ribbon?

The Hyouta Gym arc had much more excitement than this ep is getting. Where are the people discussing Hikari's Contest arc?
 
Hikari is turning this show into a fairy-tale with the same color schemes, and a team with simmilar eyes. Also, the floortiles RUIN the arc for me!
