Japanese: ヒカリとノゾミとダブルパフォーマンス!
[bp=DP041]Bulbapedia article[/bp]

This episode will air on TV Tokyo on July 26, 2007.

Zoey injures her leg, tells Dawn about the next Contest having Double Battles, Zoey has a Pink Shellos.

Why does it look like Zoey is battling Ash again, particularly against Aipom? Are we going to be in for another round of Zoey scolding Ash or something?

Looks like a good episode, I'm actually quite surprised with how many episodes this season are set aside simply for training. We don't usually get complete training episodes like this so commonly.

Maybe for the same reason Ash entered that contest in the first place, maybe Aipom wanted to battle Zoey. After all, it does have unfinished business with her Glameow. ;-)

You know, from what I saw in the preview, and the langauge they used (double *performance*) I think the next contest may have the trainers using two pokemon for their APPEALS! The scene where the Shellos sits on Glameow's taill definitly looks more like an appeal than something that would happen in a battle.

Also, I think Ash may be battling Hikari, not Nozomi. In the preview there is a scene of Buizel and Buneary being hit by flying shards of rock; later in the preview it shows Aipom smashing into the same kind of rocks.

It does seem that Ash/Dawn may be having a little practice battle in the ep early on.

Heh, the scenery of this episode looks exactly the same as where they were in the Buizel episode, and Zoey was in that ep too! :p

This may be a slight off topic discussion but since shellos and zoey are involved with it, may as well bring it up.

It would seem some people both here and at serebii refuse to get it through thier heads that since Zoey has Shellos Ash isn't getting it now, though they refuse to yeild and claim "Oh there's still the blue one!"

Well what exactly is different about the two shellos besides thier looks?

Not much really they have the same statistics and move pools as each other so why does thier outward appearance alone make them different. Then of course Zoey comes in because in the event(which i still doubt) Ash did get the blue one it would no doubt cause interaction between the two shellos and in the same light her and Ash which i'm certain most don't wish to see as she's Dawn's rival not his.

Why people will not let the slug go on Ash i have no idea.

We already knew that from a scam a few days ago.

Also, is it just me or could Zoey's Shellos be shiny since it's more red than pink, or do you think it's kinda like with Shirona's where the coloring is just a bit darker.

I don't remember reading anything about double appeals in the forums. Seems like everyone has been talking about battling.

I recall that a lot of people said the same thing about Torkoal. ("Ash won't catch it, because Flannery already has one") And with Nozomi's obvious dislike for gyms, she and Ash already have reason to interact, so giving Ash a blue Shellos wouldn't really change the dynamic much.

But Flannery's a gym leader who appeared in all of two episodes, whereas Nozomi's a rival who will keep showing up throughout Shinou. Big difference there.

I personally think people were grasping at straws when they thought Ash might get a Shellos anyway(because he apaprently just HAS TO HAVE a Water type), but hey, what do I know? Maybe all the talk of "Ash HAS to get this Pokemon or that other Pokemon because he NEEDS a Pokmon of that type" has jaded me. Especially when many of the same people complain that Ash doesn't get enough Pokemon of his non-standard types later.

As for the preview itself...nothing spectactular, but the previews are always less interesting than the actualy episodes.

Glad to see Nozomi is going to show up again. From my point of view, it seems that the rock move is one of Nozomi's Pokemon. Aipom is breaking through those rocks.

As for Nozomi versus Ash. My guess is that they just battle to see how much both has improved. I doubt Ash is getting Nomzi all ticked off again.

Looks like Pachirisu is being it's casual self again frying Pochama and Hikari.

From what I get, those kind of discussions has been narrowed down to "Ash IS GOING to get Pokemon X or Pokemon Y". I'll just see what Ash is going to get.

The impression I got was that Aipom was smashing the rocks and causing them to fly into Buizel and Buneary. But it could be something from Nozomi too, like maybe Glameow smashing the ground with that glowing claw attack (forgot which one it was)
