It looks like the clip show episode is a regular episode. It gets a title screen, eyecatch, Orchid-Hakase lecture, and everything else a regular episode gets.

=Title Screen: "Satoshi to Hikari! Aratatana na Bouken ni Mukatte!" =

-The clip show is narrated by Satoshi & Hikari (the Houen clip show was narrated by the show's narrator)
-Unlike the previous clip show, the music in this episode is actually edited properly. You can really tell that more effort went into this episode than in the previous one.
-They recap Satoshi's and Hikari's meeting.
-Next, they go through Satoshi's, Hikari's, and Takeshi's pokemon. Hikari calls Aipom "Pokemon Kontesuto ga daisuki onna na ko" ("A girl who likes Pokemon Contests"), and Satoshi describes Takeshi's Gureggru as a pokemon who always appears whenever he hears a beautiful woman's voice.
-Next, they show clips from the Kurogane City Gym Battle.
-Next, we see clips of the Hakutai City Gym Battle.

=eyecatch=

-Next, we see clips of Satoshi's rival, Shinji.
-Then, we see clips of Hikari's rival, Nozomi.
-After that, clips of Hikari's first Contest, the Kotobuki Convention, are shown.
-Then, we see the Sono'o Convention.
-To Be Continued screen

Orchid-Hakse Big Pokemon Encyclopedia: Dodaitoise (it smacks Orchid-Hakase with the tree on its back)

although, my observations disprove this.

I think I finally understand how Greggle always manages to come out and stab Takeshi at just the right moment. With his Anticipation ability, he's able to detect an erection from his trainer at all times (erections being something he detests for whatever reason... maybe the human phallus has Psychic-type attributes XD). I make this assumption based on the fact that Takeshi was swooning for Joy and Junsa inside of a fucking dream, and unless the guy talks in his sleep, there is no way short of supernatural abilities anybody could've been able to tell from inside of a Monster Ball.

Or perhaps Croagunk confuses Brock's boners with Cubones. [shot]

I've never liked clipshows. A series I watch almost continuously (and tape some of the better episodes) doesn't need to give me a summary. But, it makes sense to someone I guess. I wonder if PUSA will dub this despite 4Kids not dubbing the AG one.

If they do, they'll have to repeat the sign edit from DP 001.

Also, throughout the episode, text of what clips they're showing ("Hikari's and Satoshi's First Meeting," "Satoshi's New Rival, Shinji," "The Sono'o Convention," etc.) appears on the upper right-hand corner of the screen and stays there.

So, depending on how PUSA feels about Japanese text, they may end up breaking out their digital paint programs to either get rid of the text or replace it with an English translation.

Satoshi describes Takeshi's Gureggru as a pokemon who always appears whenever he hears a beautiful woman's voice.

It didn't hear one in the Mumage episode, and still came out.

Why couldn't the eyecatcher have been a few seconds earlier? The one line of Shinji's was the perfect place to put it, but they had to babble on for a while after it. Gah.

What were the other descriptions of the group's Pokémon?

Naruto fans always complain that new episodes of Shippuuden are being delayed because of all the one-hour Pokemon specials. I often grumble at them to stop complaining. While they always get a double episode to make up for the missing week, we get stuff like recap specials and movie specials. Honestly.

Yeah but we're CONSTANTLY getting breaks, which is getting ridiculous. At least you guys are GETTING something.

Yeah, what Dogasu said. And unlike you guys, we don't always get compensations for those damned breaks.

... xD This is adorable. I'm waiting until my little Naruto obsessed sister wakes up so I can show her this topic. And we were JUST talking about how Shippuden and Pokemon aired at very close times.

Couldn't they dub just use parts without the Japanese text? Like, wouldn't there be a version without? Or maybe they would use the clips from the original episodes where there was writing in the recap clips?
I don't really think they'll dub these neither. But I sure was surprised when I saw that end of AG clip of Satoshi, Pikachu, and Eipom in the preview of the previous episode. I somehow forgot the clip-show. xDD;

PUSA could, but it would be a lot of work because they'd be basically creating the entire clip show from the ground up.
