Review DP054: Natane and Sabonea! Farewell to Whom!?

[Dogasu]

-The preview is narrated by Kojirou and Natane.
-We see a shot of Natane hugging Sabonea.
-Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyasu all seem shocked.
-We see Pachirisu fight. We also see a Sabonea vs. Aipom fight.
-We then see Kojirou ordering his pokemon (probably Sabonea) to attack. However, Natane jumps in front of Kojirou and gives an order of her own.
-The final clips show a really beat-up looking Sabonea walking toward a barely-injured Aipom, wanting to continue the fight.

It was basically the perfect Pokemon for James as his main battler all throughout AG, sad to see it go.

Almost everything I dreamed up last night came true in that preview. No joke.


It's gonna be sad seeing Cacnea leave, I mean it was TR's first Pokemon after Arbok And Weezing left. They started anew with Cacnea.

& It's such a cute lil guy...

And didn't Dustox lose any reason to exist once May left? With the out-of-left-field return of Gardenia to retrieve Cacnea, would it be terribly out of the question to see Cheryl suddenly back and taking Dustox with her?

I could see it moreso happening with Aaron, or whatever the bug elite four member's name is. It would be funny if he takes it to train and then in the supposed E4 arc we see it beat one of Ash's pokemon.

I'm..abit skeptical of this whole ordeal, I do sense an evo coming since Cacnea's being pushed hard in the preview(even Aipom's freaking over it "walking" while beaten).but as for it going to Gardenia i'm not so sure it doesn't seem enthusiastic about her enough to convince me she'll take it..

I think its just focus punch, I think it used that attack before.

I'm sure Dustox is going to be the next one released at some point.

Jessie had better damn well keep Seviper though. She needs a snake, and I'd actually throw a whiny and pissy fit if she releases it. Luckily it doesn't look like Seviper will be going anywhere, and instead Dustox will probably be replaced by a new D/P Pokemon.

I was thinking Needle Arm, myself. Sure, we've seen it used several times in the series with Sabonea's arm glowing and being swung around, but as I'm sure everyone's well aware by now, these guys are hardly consistent with attack portrayals. Hell, Needle Arm itself was portrayed differently by Harley's Noctus... and twice, at that.
