I'm glad it looses it speed it had seed ridicules to me that a turtwig would be fast. Lets hope its personality develops more.

The preview confirms that Pikachu, Buizel and Hikozaru will be in the next gym battle. Not really a surprise.

I love that smirk on Dodaitose's face. It really looks like it's enjoying seeing Hayashigame struggle.

Well, there you are, something evoed, happy now? I imagine this being about Ash having to completely rewrite his strategy regarding Grotle.

The moment I heard Buoysel was going to be in the Yosuga Gym, I headdesked. HARD.

I mean, come on, he's had starring roles in the last three major competitions/Gym Battles already. >>

On the other hand, I am very happy to know that Pikachu will be in this. It's not done much this saga, so it's a nice opportunity for it to finally battle again.

I'd personally like to see that as the plot of an episode or two, you know? Ash and Grotle working together to come up with a good strategy for fighting, now that it's much slower.

Oh, and I'd like it if he didn't get his ideas for battling from Dawn. He gets too many of them from her now...not that it's a bad thing, but for this time, he should learn to figure it out on his own. Dawn doesn't really have any slow Pokemon he can base a strategy off of, anyway.

Anyone find it amusing that Bulbasaur is Ash's only grass starter now that didn't evolve?

And Bulbasaur is still strong enough to beat the rest of them. :)

no..

Not buizel again!

That annoying pokemon gets to do all the fun stuff...
I almost want it out of the team..

still grotle is awesome.

I guess it will stay that way now in dp.

Buizel was announced for the Fantina battle over a week ago. Not only that, it's probably going to evolve.

In other words: old news.

Nice to see Paul's Honchkrow finally in action.

So has Gliscor been perminately ascribed (W00t 11th grade vocab term)to comic relief?

It's been on his team for like 35 episodes and has only had like 1.5 battles.

Since when, may I ask, was it assumed it would evolve anytime soon?

Probably not soon, but eventually. Buizel's personality is like Charizard and Sceptile's, so there's a good chance it'll evolve at some point.

Thank goodness it's only got one evolution, then. I don't know, though, I rather like Buizel. It seems most of Ash's pokemon this time around are of the 'cutesy comic-relief' type variety. A pokemon like Buizel (personality-wise) just suits Ash so much better.

Plus, it's about time (IMO) that Ash had a really strong evolved water type. Don't get me wrong, Squirtle was great, and Corphish I can't really judge (I didn't see very many episodes with him in it), and even Totodile had it's moment. But notice a pattern? Ash has never evolved his main water-type pokemon. Ever. Kingler wasn't his main water-type -- given the choice, Ash 99.99% of the time chose Squirtle as his water-type battler. Kingler had...what, one major battle, the one in which it evolved? It'll be nice to see him with a real powerhouse water-type that actually evolves.

Back on topic now...yay, Honchkrow! I wonder how he'll use it in battle? Also, I know people have been bitching about it, but I personally think Turtwig's evolution had no true purpose except to showcase Grotle. I would much rather see Staravia or Chimchar evolve, or even one of Dawn's pokes, if there had to be an evolution. But overall, the episode looks good. Can't wait to see it!

"Ash finally faces Fantina, the Gym Leader of Hearthome City. Ash chooses Buizel to battle against her Gengar, but will he be able to win?"

They specify Buizel and its battle with Fantina's Gengar and make a question of whether Buizel is enough to win. That leads me to believe a mid-battle evolution will be tipping the scale here.

Don't get me started on Waste Of Lif.....errrr, Gliscor.

Considering that Gengar isn't as likely to be the main star on Fantina's team as the rest of her Pokemon, I doubt Buizel will be the star again.

Mismagius and Chimchar seems to be reasonable. And if that's the case, Chimmy might actually get a gym win for once. =)

I'm hoping that each of Ash's pokemon takes out one of Fantina's in the gym battle.... As for the preview, it looks great. I'd be really impressed if Grotle beats Honchkrow though, since it seems like its getting whipped in everyway possible.
