The Pokémon Ping Pong Tournament is an event where Pokémon and Trainer build a pair and hit a ball. Ambipom, who has teamed up with Dawn, displays a powerful smash using its two tails. The former champion, Ou, witnesses this by coincidence and, saying that Ambipom has a good sense for Pokémon Ping Pong, guarantees its success...

They start battling right away, but for some reason, Marilyn does not give any attack orders to the "Cherry Pokémon", Cherubi...

Candice being a teacher reminds me of Roxanne from Rustboro. We've been to so many trainer schools in the anime now, I wonder why they keep bringing this back? Didn't we see this in early Hoenn with Roxanne and in the Summer school arc in DP?

If Ambipom is released like Primeape was, wow, we'll never hear the end of it. To think of how much debate there was about the Aipom/Buizel trade at the start of DP...now imagine Ambipom gone for good.

Aipom started off having a crush on Ash that seemingly disappeared, then it loved Contests so it went to Dawn, and now a random love of ping pong came out of nowhere setting up for a release ala Primeape? It honestly seems like the writers are making this up as they go along.

It sounds like she has a natural talent for it rather than suddenly loving it.

And I still wanna see Sonansu participate.
 
Candice always seemed to me the most lacking in personality of the Sinnoh Gym leaders... but was ripping off Roxanne neccesary? '_' The Rustboro Trainer's School episode was good because of Max. What exactly are they doing with this episode, I wonder?

Also, lol, Ambipom's not leaving. Can't believe people go so worked up about that.

Ambipom has a good chance to leave... Personaly it would be the best if she leaves.
 
So, they made Suzuna a teacher? Random, random, very random. Randomness galore! Random lands! Random nations! Random rehash of Kanazumi... God!

It wasn't needed. Come on, a teacher? She's a Gym Leader (a very important person, that is) of a city with old, legendary temple in it. And instead of have her guarding it, the writers decided to crowd her in some random school. God!

I'm bitching again, I know. But having her as a Temple Guardian would be 1124719247qdwgsug9213873qwjh24398 times more exciting.

And the DP124 COtD is named... Ou? At least it's not "Kingu". But the name is still stupid. Expect him to be dressed like a king, blah blah blah...

And I wonder if that Marilyn girl from Cherimbo episode could be a Marilyn Monroe lookalike (otherwise, they wouldn't give her such name). A Monroe lookalike in Pokemon would be nice, I admit.

I think Cherimbo would be a good Pokemon for Hikari... But there's no way she would catch it. We know what's on the poster, already...

Who said she isn't, maybe being a teacher is just one of Candice's jobs, maybe she's like the mayor, or sheriff, given that Candice is the only confirmed person to allow someone entrance into the temple. Maybe being a tacher is just one of her many duties.

And as for random, I'm not sure but someone said that there was a little girl/boy in the games that said Candice was teaching her/him about Pokemon, so I don't think it's too random.

Everything points to that... it's too obvious to not believe it
And Scott, the Contests thing was planned from the beginning... it's only the ping pong thing that came out of nowhere all of a sudden
 
Candice as a teacher is good in my books. Oh and I said this over at serebiiforums but whatever..
If and that is a mighty if I am throwing around, Ambipom leaves then at least her final episode is an Iwane.
 
It doesn't matter she is a teacher or not. What really matters is that she is a Gym Leader. Second only to Volkner. And we going to see a great battle. That's what I mean.

About Ambipom.. From the beginnig I think that doesn't deserve her. But Buizel she didn't deserve more. Ambipom is a strongest pokemon after Mamoswine. Releasing such powerful pokemon is stupid.. I don't know what to say if she'll do that

Until now there wasn't really a problem with it... maybe just that it evolved almost immediately after Dawn got it that it seems like Dawn never had an Aipom but just an Ambipom

Even before Dawn got her, there was that horrible trade that completely disregarded how much Aipom likes Ash and could've been solved in about a dozen different, better ways. And before that, there was the way they treated her desire to participate in contests.

Pip, just because you don't find anything wrong with it doesn't mean other people don't.
 
I honestly don't know what to say about Candice. Making her Roxanne 2.0 is disappointing. They couldn't be a little more creative.

I'm indifferent to Ambipom leaving. I personally wish they never brought it into the group in the first place. And, I predicted what Ambipom would look like out of sarcasm.

Considering that we only saw mysterious shrine maiden lady from behind, I'd say there's a possibility that it's Suzuna, at least, I hope it is.
 
Dawn doesn't have good battling pokemon on her team anyways........I just hope Satoshi battles Candice soon so he can get the Icicle Badge (sigh it's a shame that there was no hilarious Hikari Shinji interaction on the blizzardy route)
 
Yeah yeah rub it in our face that you made a good joke to us. But I just cant wait till you fall for one. Anyway it seems that by june we would have the 7th badge in ash's hands and a Monferno to boot.
