Review DP147: Satoshi and Hikari! Tag Battle!!

[Dogasu]

- Satoshi's narration informs us that the day when they'll part ways with Kotone and Kazunari has come.
- We see everyone paying their respects to some statue.
- A tag battle is held inside some old looking stadium.
- At the end, we see Waninoko glow as if it's going to evolve.

The episode airs the week after next.

Well, at least we finally get to see a Totodile evolve in the show. God knows if we'll ever see Ash's again.

I liked the way Monferno picked up Cyndaquil in its arms during the preview to use smokescreen. Reminds you that Cynda is still just a baby.

Looks good to me. That Aqua Tail looked awesome! So... let's see... there were rumours of this being animated by Tamagawa, so is it true?

This is Kotone/Kazu's last episode, right?

I wonder if their farewell will hint any return later on or if this is the last we see of them for good. I imagine Kotone has the possibility of popping up again later on since she's a game heroine.

I just hope Ash and Dawn don't lose this, seriously they've had enough losses as it is recently and if Monferno loses....then Ash's last chance to beat Paul will be shattered.

Better yet if the two of them lose to beginners.
Chikorita got easily sweeped by Piplup in DP143 despite having a type advantage. The one to really worry about is Totodile/Croconaw.

The preview looked great! Monferno holding Cyndaquil was quite cool. Funny though, it'd fire-fire against grass-water.

Nooooooooo! after I watched the last two eps, I like Koto and Kazu even more!
And before these two eps I didn't really -like- Kazu (but sure didn't hate, I thought he's nice) but now I really like him
Too bad they can't stay with the group... I hope we'll at least see them again in the future

I actually hope that Ash and Dawn win this fight over Kotone and Kazu, just so Ash finally has a win under his belt that didn't come from Team Rocket or was just a montage pic of one of his Pokemon owning another one. That and I want to see Monferno in action and win a fight for him.

Other than that, this fight looks interesting, and I'll make sure watch it.

But other amazing ones that he's done include the disappearing Pokemon ep in OI, the Nendoll/Claydoll AG ep and IIRC, the episode where Juptile evolves into Jukain <3

Like...what's the purpose of this 2 on 2 battle? Just for fun?
