DP168 and DP169- Shaymin Debut

DP168 and DP169, titled Fly Shaymin! To the Far Side of the Sky!! and Pokémon Ranger! Heatran Rescue Mission!! are due to air on March 18th 2010. These episodes are EP636 and EP637 overall.

DP168 (EP636) is based on the Oak's Letter event for Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.

So far there is no source, apart from Serebii.net.

Only DP169 is a Ranger story on the 18th. DP168 is unrelated to the Ranger episode and will feature Marley. There will also be two special Ranger episodes that will appear on Pokemon Sunday the 28th Feb and 7th March that will not feature Ash and the gang and will introduce Natsuya in his own separate story.

Cool. Since there's a Heatran in there, is there a chance of Buck/Charon from appearing? or will it just be a filler to promote the new ranger games?

Marley was my favourite stat trainer, I can't wait for this episode to air.
 
Ya gaurente it's Marley, and we might also get some akward reactions between her and Brock but I've been wrong before.
 
It won't be. A character from the movies has never appeared in the animé, apart from Mewtwo.
 
Marley and Shaymin, eh? Sounds like the dead end route east of Victory Road. I know nothing said that, and I would be surprised if we're approaching the edge of Sinnoh already. It just doesn't add up. It could just be a coincidence, though.
 
This means we're close to the League. :eek: Shouldn't we be visiting the Lake Valor first for the GF? It's very close to the Sunyshore City.
 
That's why it has me confused. That's why I'm more inclined to believe we're either having a game event outside it's proper location, and/or we're having a little side trip before the gym battle, which we don't know whether it took place or not.
 
It will be cool to see Shaymin again. I wonder if this Shaymin will speak pokemon, or have telepathic abilities?
 
They're really holding off on Ash's Eighth Gym Battle huh, even when there's this supposedly huge rush to finish everything by September or November. Should be a cool special though.
 
Well, I've looked to see exactly how long each of the major leagues took, and the Grand Festivals. May's Grand Festivals took 3 eps apiece, but I believe Dawn's will be longer. All of the leagues took about 7 eps to do. I'm giving 5 eps for the GF, so that alone is 12 eps. After these two eps, we have 15 eps before the movie, and several more after that to September at the very least. I am now thinking we will not be in the league by the time the movie happens, but I will be immensely disappointed if they do not fit the GF at least before then.
 
Oh I just love Shaymin! Especially Skymin. I didn't expect another legendary Pokemon show after the Darkrai-Cresselia-Rotom-Deoxys-Phione stream in like 10 episodes. Will this be the start of another legendary stream? I'd like to see Manaphy, Giratina, Lati@s and Jirachi.

Discussion questions:
1. Do you have any doubt that Ash and friends are NOT in these episodes?
2. Do you think Seed Flare and Magma Storm will be featured?
3. Will this be the start of another legendary stream?

1-No. They are going to be in these. This is not a special realeased in Pokémon Sunday, it clearly says "DP168".
2-Seed Flare has been already featured in Giratina and The Sky Warrior, right? I think Magma Storm can be featured. No, because of that Seed Flare is not needed to be featured in this episode, I mean Dark Void wasn't in Darkrai episode right?
3-What legendary stream? You mean in next gens or in animé? In animé, with these two episodes all of legendaries except for Manaphy will be done(Raikou was in DP169 right?). Though Manaphy got its own movie and appeared in two opening etc.
