Anyway,

- We see Shami and Mai.

- Natsuya does some posing. We see Headran climbing up what appear to be volcano walls.

- Natsuya's seen hanging from a cliff before kind of pushing himself off.

- Shami, mai

- Pikachu and Potchama are lying face-up on the ground near Shami as if they're exhausted. They then pick themselves up and pat Shami on its head.

- We see Mai and Takeshi on some secluded forest...thing with the Sky Forme Shami. The Sky Forme Shami flys toward a Butterfree (or maybe a Butterfree robot?)

- Finally, we see Headran fighting a Digda robot.

That glimmer of emotion from Marley has me intrigued. She looks like she could be an interesting character.

But Natsuya getting a full episode to be cool is still the highlight.

I'm really looking forward to the Mai episode. I love her serious personality, and it looks like there will be some cute moments with Shami.

I'm fully expecting the Ranger episode to be crap since Junki Takegami is writing it. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

That is really nice to know they're keeping Marley's sereous personality after what happened with Cyrus.

They kept with Cyrus's canon personality. Just had his meltdown scene coming at his introduction rather than his final scene, but it's all still there in the games (ok so he didn't ramble on and on about the universe on the show, but you know what I mean).


Anyway, on that subject! I'm rather glad that Charon is nowhere to be found in the Heatran preview. I know people were theorizing that this would be the Really Final Galactic Finale, but to push Charon's deeds into one episode would be anticlimatic.

I'm really excited for the Mai and Shaymin episode. The Ranger ep doesn't seem so thrilling for me, but at least Heatran has got to be cool (uh... or hot).

So I take it these two eps are just to shoe-horn legendaries into eps, give appearances to two game characters, and that's about it?

Both episodes look awesome... the first one looks a little bit emotionnal, while the second one looks action packed.

DP168 : That Butterfree is a robot... It has a big Red R on its belly and metallic wings... Also, I love that shot of Brock and Marley right before Shaymin flies to the robot butterfree, it really makes it seem like Brock is gonna get decent dialogue in this episode...

DP169 : I'm not entirely sold... looks good, but the giant diglett robot ? Sounds teamrockety more than pokenappery in my opinion. Still Natsuya looks like a cool character.

It seems that Rocket-dan will be main villains in both episodes. I honestly hoped for some interesting Ranger villain.

Aside from Heatran going insane and ready to destroy things, I just don't see how TR makes a formidable threat that needs a Pokemon Ranger.

Sure there was Celebi/Deoxys (maybe, I don't quite remember TR messing with Deoxys), but those had plots and throwing TR in was okay. However this one just seems entirely about the normal formulaic episode involving TR, but as an added twist Pokemon Ranger is included.

Again the only thing that makes sense is Heatran is going crazy (destructive crazy).

Or do the more likely thing and put him in Stark Mountain-episodes? We do need to know what happened to Charon, so...

And this Heatran-episode doesn't decrease our chances of seeing Stark Mountain-episodes - Heatran never really appeared during the Stark Mountain-event in Platinum.

That doesn't mean the episodes can't be good / contribute to the plot or character development / etc...
You could also say the whole anime is "just to give appearance to game characters and that's about it"

I'm also a little disappointed that TRio are the only villians here... and why the Johto they use random Kanto Poké for their robots? I'd expect a gen 2/4 Poké or something... we saw a Diglett robot a few times in the past already
The Shaymin ep looks more interesting currently, but Natsuya is still cool so I can't wait for both! finally we'll see Natsuya for more than a 4 minutes short!

These eps look alright, but I thought they would tie them in with some overall story. Shame Charon is not appearing in the Heatran ep.
