I'm guessing Hikari doesn't offcially get Togekiss until this episode since they're still with the princess. I see the Rocket-Dan in the summery so I guess the battle Togekiss is in is against them.

Edit: According to what sailorsailoroon said it seems slowkingsley posted title a bit wrong:
Togekiss! The Battle Which it Becomes Magnificent!! is the wrong title.

The Correct title is "Togekiss! Gorgeous Battle" or "Togekiss! Magnificent Battle"

Kareinaru means gorgeous or magificent..

wow so we get two episode of Togekiss great.

I still wonder what they are doing in Salvia's house anyway. I don't understand why we see Rocket-dan agian either. Maybe Musashi loses that contest and gets angry against Salvia and twerps or something :S. Though I believe they will just steal stuff from the house and Pokémon and of course Togekiss.

maybe that but most likely not imo but that just me or it could be after the contest were Salvia/Iris (whatever her name is.) give Dawn Togekiss?

Hey, that's really neat-o. How great is it that we get actual, confirm plot development for captured Pokemon! And from a Pokemon who's been bathed in mystery for a long time now.

Wow, so the princess will be in the next ep too?! That's awesome to see this as a 2 parter rather than just 1 ep! I really can't wait ^_^

I hope Musashi gets her last ribbon in 171 so this isn't a TR scheme to take revenge on the princess cuz Musashi lost to her. Let's get to the GF already >_>

Oh, so this is NOT a second part of the Contest... and the princess won't be in this...
Too bad... got excited for nothing
Anyway, it'll still be good since it focus on Togekiss right after its cpature, similar to Turtwig (DP5-6) and I really think they should've treated all captures this way

So it seems that the Togekiss isn't that good at contests from that summary. I'm guessing that Hikari will try to get it up to scratch before the GF in a mad rush for time.

/\ i think it more not follow her orders instead of being bad at contest.

remember pokemon who are train by other won't always obey the new trainer when traded. but that just my imo.

anyway still look good can't wait for it

You might be right about Togekiss not following her orders but I really hope that isn't the case. We've already had Manmoo not listening to her before.

According to the summary (I'm inferring) Togekiss has the mindset of royalty. As in it feels superior to everyone else, and because of that it's being reflected in it's performance (by elegantly moving) and it's causing a negative effect onits performance. Which means it's not doing very well contest-wise because it's being too extravagant.

For example a dancing Pokemon with hyper beam is dangerous because you won't know where the attack will go.

So it's not disobedience its just Togekiss isn't doing EXACTLY what Dawn wants. Which isn't being disobedient because it seems to still be following her commands, but again isn't doing what Dawn wants exactly.

For example you tell a Pokemon to use flamethrower. If it uses flamethrower on you its not being disobedient it's just being a "brat" I mean after all you didn't specify where you wanted flamethrower to go and it did use flamethrower just like you ordered just not the way you wanted.

Or it could be something like Ash's Gible, Gible listened but then it got too fired up and did Draco Meteor and Dragon Pulse without Ash commanding it to. So Togekiss will get too sure of itself and start doing other stuff (like spinning, dancing, etc).

Although in the end it doesn't matter, the title seems to imply what issues it does have are resolved by the end of the episode.

Curious. I'm not quite understanding why being elegant in a pokemon contest a bad thing, since that's more or less what it's all about in the first place.
But even so, it'd be more interesting to see her adapt to the issue and try to use it to her advantage, as opposed to trying to change Togekiss to suit her own needs.

Either way, it's more god damn contest training, so that's already kind of set off the ol' alarm bells. I hope this episode doesn't take itself too seriously and tries to make Togekiss an entertaining character.

I thought that too. All the training episodes where Dawn practices appeals all wind up feeling the same. I understand why its good to see this stuff, but goddamn if it doesn't get repetitive after awhile. I wish the training could be done off-screen like they used to.

In your opinion - I like them all and I'm excited to see the new combinations every time... this time we're talking about a brand new Poké she gets, so it'll be even more exciting! (well, at least to me...)

Thanks Arceus you're not a writers for this show
We're just before the GF and you think we shouldn't see Dawn train her newest and least experienced Poké?...

I think what Grave-E was getting at is that there are way too many tedious training episodes all throughout DP, for Ash included. I don't mind the training, (since the older seasons hardly showed this), but its all almost the same. Especially since so many of them are different contest appeals, which we've seen quite enough of throughout this saga.

I can't see how it's "almost the same"... we see new combinations and most of them look awesome and cool
I like to watch their trainings... of course, you don't have to agree but for me it's great
Not to mention usually we get a few funny scenes even in training eps

Why isn't Ash getting any training episodes? Last gym and the league is quite near, and the only thing he does is getting stomped by Elite Four members. Not to mention, the league ought to have double battles where combos will be useful...

Because GF is more close, Hikari is just going to get a new Pokémon who she needs to practise with and we're not going to reach to League until the new movie comes out?
