Jun will see how much of a tit Shinji is hopefully. I want to see his damn Gallop as well!
Kouhei can go out in this ep in a similar way to Musashi in the GF hopefully, apart from this time I won't be pissed.

YES!! Hoping to see Paul slaughter Barry. And of course Barry's realisation that Paul is a douche.
I wonder if the battle will take up all of the episode. It does also make me wonder how long the league is going to be/what Ash's placement in the league will be.

DAMN... Is all I can say... they don't even try with the titles now do they ?
Sorta predictable, they really set up a meeting between the two in DP163... still, no revenge for Gible makes me sad, but at the same time, I'm glad the writers are gonna use the similar teams and battling styles of Ash and Barry to preview the Ash v Paul battle. I hope Ash is writing and taking notes... Still, these rivals are dropping like flies... Am I the only one seeing a 6 episodes long league (not counting DP182)
Less fights for the reserves to shine. Sorta hope that Donphan, Torkoal, Corphish and Snorlax are only used in still shots victories then, as they've already shined in the Battle Frontier and Hoenn League so that the Johto starters, Muk, Noctowl and Glalie get their time in the limelight.
This episode is gonna be great !!! Is there a summary already ?

Who really wants to see an episode focused on a battle that doesn't include Ash's Pokémon? Am I supposed to root for Barry when I already know the outcome? Color me disappointed.

I think we all know Paul is going to win this one. Since his league rivals were revealed, I always thought that Conway was going to leave first. But no, it turned the other way. Nando and Barry are leaving in the first two episodes of the league.
That leaves Conway, Paul and some random COTD with a legendary Pokemon.

I doubt Paul or Conway are going to have a legendary Pokemon by their side. I mean, yeah, Paul trains powerhouses but not legendaries and Conway, meh.

I'm starting to think that too. It would be a shame, as I wanted to see all the Pokemon get some decent battles.

How is that random or wild speculation ? Conway and Paul are in the openning and it's already been confirmed that there's a trainer with a legendary pokemon that Ash'll fight...
The only question that remains now is if Conway and legendary trainer are the same guy. But since you seem to be hell-bent on mini-moding, I guess this could go in the League thread.

The legendary-wielding trainer has been noted as a separate character from Paul, and no one has ever viewed Conway as a serious contender for the role, and for good reason. That does not mean that a recognizable face is out of the question.

I'm reaaaaaaly sad that the Nando battle won't be finished in this episode. But now I'm pretty sure that these are just all 3 on 3 matches and maybe the first full battle will be Ash vs. Paul.

Hell YES! I've waited a looooooooooong time for this battle. :-D
And I think the first episode of the league being against Naoshi kinda sealed the fate of the length of the league... this just cements it. But I'd prefer to not think about that yet and enjoy the ride.

Me too. I think that the fact that Ash & Dawn are not fighting against their rivals in the league & Grand festival is a shame.
And it could be worse if the battle VS Nando will be only 1 vs 1, and the battle of Barry VS Paul will only 2 VS 2.

But in this case, did we really need to see Satoshi beat Jun again? There's no real tension to that, whereas we know Junloves worships Shinji. Seeing him get crushed by Shinji will be much more entertaining.

And I also don't think that he will reach to the finals, there is no chance for that after that 2 of his rivals are out before the full battles.

Tell that to Dawn... For all we know, this could have the end of the Nando match in the first half of the episode and have Ash witness the end of the match Paul/Barry match in the second half...
