I wish the battle was in finals but we can't do anything now :V.

And this stops people who think Ash will lose to Paul. :p
 
Semi-finals?

Well, that kills any chance of Ash winning this league. Not that I really expected it, but it still would've been more exciting to see him just one spot away from winning it all.
 
Sad, I was hoping Ash 2b at least a runner-up but it looks like he'll end up in top 4 but anyway I hope Ash vs Takuto will be an epic battle
 
Hopefully, the battle will start in DP188 with Pokémon other than Darkrai, and this episode is the continuation of that.
 
Sweet mother of pearl, here it comes. This battle is sure to be interesting and with a title like that you can't doubt Ash is going to go through hell trying to beat that thing.
 
All I want to know about this battle at the moment is who Ash is going to use and who Takuto's other Pokemon are.
 
:s I really wanted Ash to get Top 2 like Dawn, but I'd guessed it would be like this once Ash vs Paul was confirmed as Top 8. What I want to know is who LT will face in the finals? pigtail girl

Anyway, with the title 'Darkrai' I'm guessing most of the battle will revolve around Ash trying to beat the thing. So, I still think Ash will beat it and lose to another of his Pokemon.
 
Well, I think Heracross will get a shining moment and defeat it. Or Bulb, Squirt or Char will randomly come and kick it's ass. Seismic Toss it for old times sake?

Heracross has already starred in one battle recently, and it is unlikely that the writers will let a type advantage be Darkrai's downfall.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing too except I think it will take Ash down to his very last pokemon who ends up defeating darkrai but faints immediately after.
 
I wish this battle was in the Top 2 hey there's always a chance Ash will beat the Darkrai trainer and Lose to some random Filler character in the Finals. Although that would never happen Its just kind of weird Dawn made it to the Finals in her first Grand Festival and Ash just made it to the Semi Finals maybe its because Dawn's rivals are weaker? But anyway I guess I'll predict what pokemon Ash will use.

Thats just a prediction for Takuto's team but hopefully Ash uses a line up like that.
 
So there's no skipped Top 4 battle... well, too bad for Torkoal/Corphish/Glalie/Muk - I doubt more than one of them will be used in this battle... guess they were just supposed to be cameos of old Poké and nothing more

A guy on serebii who is known to be reliable also posted the title, so i'm pretty sure it's confirmed.

Meanwhile since when did the legendary trainer get the name takuto, did I miss something here?
 
Someone said they revealed he's called Takuto in the last ep that aired
I didn't notice that when I watched the ep and I'm not sure it's right
Can anyone check it?

Corphish did get its fair amount of wins back in AG so it doesnt really irk me that its not getting a battle although the way Torkoal and Glalie were treated really bothers me. I'd rather see Torkoal in this battle then Quilava but so many people insist that Quilava deserves another battle Muk should definetly be used here since it only got one win and that win was against a Bellsprout. As for Glalie I dont know if its going to do anything in this league besides its appearance with Infernape and Torterra.

Quilava is the only Pokémon to have had its League battle cut, giving it no more than 45 seconds of screentime. It also evolved and learned a powerful move just for the League, and yet none of those things has paid off so far.

Meanwhile, Torkoal is in the same boat as Donphan. Should it be used here, it will likely go down easily so that the Pokémon left out from the Battle Frontier saga can have more time to prove their worth. It is much better off not being used at all, in which case we will just assume that Ash used it in the second round.

Son of a fucking bitch, all this just for Semi-finals. Great going, nice way to screw the whole league. Hey, at least we know now in gen 5 he's going top 2, and then he's going to win in gen 6.
 
That is very sad not only because it will be the semi-final but because some random character will get to final match with Takuto.
Paul, Ash, Takuto should be in the best four either way.
