Alright, this is actually an idea I got from a dream I had! Hope you enjoy it!

Plot:
The Dream Realm is a magical place. Formed from the dream energy of human imagination, this is a place were mankind’s dreams have become real. Things which are fictional in our reality are the truth in this one, each existing in a separate universe and most unaware of this fact…but there is a dark side to this reality.

The Nightmare Realm, the neighboring multiverse, is formed from the dark side of human imagination. This is were nightmares are reality and villains reign victorious. The heroes never win here…There are no happy endings in the Nightmare Realm. But even nightmares have positive effects for humans sometimes and a good story can be written without a happy ending, thus making this world no less important than the Dream Realm.

Ruled by the Nightmare Emperor, this multiverse has existed side by side with it’s happier counterpart, both being fueled by and fueling human imagination and expanding day by day…that is until the Nightmare Emperor grew prideful and turned his evil eyes towards the Dream Realm, seeking to claim it for his own, for whoever rules all of the Dream Realm would by virtue hold human imagination in the palm of their hand and control the human world as well. He rose up and attacked the Dream Realm in full force…but in ages long past, the heroes of the Dream Realm banded together. Lead by a human from the real world, the heroes combined their own strength with the power of humanity’s dreams to seal the Nightmare Emperor in a prison of stone from which it was believed he’d never escape. Balance was restored to the multiverse…

But in modern day, the Nightmare Emperor’s seal has weakened and his ancient evil has once more been unleashed upon the Dream Realm. Uniting the forces of evil in an onslaught, it soon becomes apparent that the forces of good cannot overcome this evil alone. Those heroes with the ability to travel between dimensions begin uniting the heroes from across Dream Realm to save it from falling under the power of nightmares, plunging not only that world, but our own into never-ending nightmares. Will it be enough to save all of reality from destruction?

Rules:

You can be any hero from nearly any show. But remember, works with Downer Endings (bad guy wins or it is otherwise ends with no good in store for anyone) and nightmares are aligned with the Nightmare Emperor. And ones with super human powers are the best choice, though don’t discount powers if they can be used creativity. Remember, the Disney princess who can summon an entire forest full of animals with song can also send that army of animals to maul you if she so chooses.

Your RP worlds YOU'VE created are fair game to choose.

Villains from worlds that would qualify as Dream Realms have a choice. They can choose to either side with the Nightmare Emperor in hopes of conquering their world and winning for a change, or siding with the heroes for any number of reasons.

Dimension Hopping heroes act as the Leaders of the Dream Guard. This includes characters such as Sora from Kingdom Hearts and Kamen Rider Decade. If these characters would normally gain new forms or powers in new realities, they still do here. Dimension Hopping Villains serve the same role on the other side.

Until contacted by the Dream Guard or unless they’re a Dimension Hopping hero, characters do no know of the multiverse and the over all scheme of things and must be informed.

EXISTING characters don’t need bios, just a link to information on the show they’re from.

Some worlds will be in the process of being invaded, not yet invaded, or have already been conquered and must be liberated. Each world has a designated “boss villain”, the enemy causing the primary trouble in that world. To save that world, you must defeat that villain. This boss villain will be controlled by the designated player for that world. If the villain has already won, it becomes a “Nightmare World” were the villain rules and must be overpowered and beaten with help of that world‘s heroes.

This is an RP hub, as in different Rps will be posted from this hub.

Each World has a designated controlling Rper. This is so everyone doesn’t need to have knowledge of that world to play. Unless they’ve otherwise been claimed by another player, the controller takes control of that world’s Boss Villain and any other characters not claimed by others, but anyone playing may claim the characters for that world just for that game. The controller decides that world’s current status and if it‘s contacted by the dream guard or not. Statuses are as followed:
Safe (No immediate threat)
Invasion (Under invasion by the forces of the Nightmare Emperor)
Villain World (Already fallen, under control of it’s Boss Villain and must be saved with the help of that world’s heroes).

This isn’t a LIMITLESS RP, and I’ll only accept 8 worlds in addition to the two I’ve already made myself. After all 10 have been played, we will begin the final showdown with the Nightmare Emperor.

Be respectful of other people, no matter what world or character they’ve chosen, they probably have reason for doing so. There’s a zero tolerance party for insulting people for their choice of characters or universes and I reserve the right to boot you for it. Your CHARACTERS can dislike a universe, but not to an EXTREME degree, be careful.

PLEASE don’t go killing off canon characters unless they’re villains. Their fate in a Villain World can be bad though, but has to be resolved after that world is saved.

The Nightmare Army consists of foot soldiers from it’s members homeworlds and generic nightmare creatures (werewolves, vampires, ect). All Boss Villains have access to these.

Heroes outside their homeworld have advantages and disadvantages in that they still work by their world’s physics. For instance, a character from a more “cartoony” universe is still resistant to damage in another world while a hero from a more realistic world can still be hurt in theirs. This doesn’t mean that cartoony heroes are invulnerable, just more resistant. However, villains with reality or time warping powers work considerably less effectively on heroes coming from other universes because they‘re not native to that reality or timeline. But this also means that by virtue of existing, a villain from a “Darker And Edgier” world is capable of taking heroes from a less violent world off guard with their brutality and vice versa.

Nightmare Surge: A Nightmare Surge is a black card each Boss Villain has. Using this causes them to transform into a stronger, monstrous form but completely lose their sanity. While a villain has the option to escape or survive if beaten otherwise, using a Nightmare Surge drives them to the point the heroes will have no choice but to kill them. This is pretty much to make the final battles more intresting, but it's optional.

Hmm...well any of them have a world conquest plan? I know Tyrania does, but I don't know if anyone else does. I'd suggest one of your villains though.
 
Nope, none of my Villains have a world-conquest plan.

BUT, I could do a sort of "Emperor Joker" arc with Prowler. Remake the RGverse in his own twisted image of humanity.
 
That works, it'd be intresting. Perhaps after when that world is invaded, Apollo Geist gives him that in exchange for his help. Depending on how the plot goes, Discord might be dead or sealed away by then, but if not, he could do the reality warping.

Also, whose your hero going to be?
 
Nice. Alright...I think one more person and we might be ready to go to the first World. Which at present is the World Of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, since it's already fallen and needs retaken before too much damage can be done. Sora will probably lead another team in defense of the Kingdom Hearts Universe once we get enough. I'm not having Decade and Sora go to the same world, as a Leader is needed to travel between worlds. Sound fine for everyone?
 
Sure. Since the RGverse is not yet contacted, Liberty just goes about her business for the time-being?
 
No, Decade or Sora will probably recrute her at the beginning of which ever RP she's in. Worlds that aren't at crisis yet are the ones they'll most likely recrute to save the others. They naturally won't tear heroes from their own worlds away from protecting it from invasion or fighting back in a Villain World, but need all the help they can get to provide backup for them.
 
So, we're all heading to the MLP world? Then, when we have more players, the teams will split under Decade and Sora, with Sora's going to the KH world?

Sounds good. The MLP world can be a sort of 'tutorial' world, where everyone meets up, gets to know each other, etc.
 
Yeah, true. Though we could have the invasion of the KH World happen part way through that one and Sora heads off there once we have enough people for a second team. And I agree. It'd also give us a "worst case senero" to motivate the heroes to stop the Nightmare Army elsewhere.

And I agree, even though it's a Villain World, Discord is pretty much just wreeking chaos everywhere and not focusing too much on the heroes, so it would give them a chance to get to know each other. And Fridge Brilliance being that it's a world revolving around FRIENDSHIP, so it makes since we'd get to know each other there.
 
So Liberty shows up along with everyone else in the MLP world, the assumption being that she was previously informed in the yet-to-be-authored RGverse arc?
 
Yeah, either that or Decade and/or Sora merely picked her up and explained on the way.

Also, would anyone be willing to be the Doctor from Doctor Who? Reason being, I can't think of many Dimension Jumpers and the more Leaders we have, the more RPs can be going at once.

We could all go into her linen closet to switch worlds.
 
That's an option, if there's a possible Boss Villain for that world. I don't know enough to do it, but if anyone else is willing and we can fit it in, I've got no problem with it.
 
Hmm... the troll, Roland I think was his name, would make for a hilarious Boss Villain.

Alternatively, Salem could take over the world - I'm pretty sure he always wanted to.

Corruption is planning on joining. If we get one person other than them, I think we can start on the Kingdom Hearts and MLP:FIM universes simutaniously with two teams of three.
