Peter Moore spearheading the marketing on both... That may have influenced some of the other factors.

Interesting about the 360 having no competition at launch. Zelda could have provided it if it hadn't have been delayed.

Fact is, the likelihood of the 360 pulling a Dreamcast is very low. Simple fact is, MS isn't going to pull the plug on it - Sega at least could continue making games, but MS is in this to combat Sony and keep them from leveraging the PS3 against them. They can't really afford to drop out now.

Yeah, I read the other part of it. I know there's differences. But you have to admit that the sheer number of coincidences are spooky.

You are right though. Microsoft can afford to waste as much money on it as they like. They certainly did with the original X-Box. They're in it for the long haul, banking on long term profits from marketshare, and they won't just cut their losses and give up.
