THE STORY SO FAR
It had seemed things were normal between the legendary Pokémon of the world, though there was one that always felt she had been cheated right from the very beginning…
Though she always kept her feelings and emotions bottled up, Cresselia always felt useless in comparison to most of the legendaries, always dealing with intangible dreams as opposed to making a real difference in the balance of life as some legendaries had responsibility over. There were plenty of times when Cresselia felt she could have ceased to exist and no one would even notice her disappearance.
When the Millennium Comet celebration was taking place and Jirachi was awakening from his 1,000 year sleep, Cresselia, in her jealousy and envy, came up with an idea… one that would make her the most paramount legend out of all of them. As before, Jirachi had befriended a human, this time a young Pokémon trainer named Joseph. But unknown to Jirachi, Cresselia had been waiting and watching in the distance, biding her time for the perfect moment.
On the seventh day, Joseph was forced to bid farewell to Jirachi, and left Jirachi alone just minutes before he would enter another 1,000 year sleep. However, Cresselia soon came into the picture, seeking to take advantage of Jirachi’s powerful wish-granting ability before allowing him to enter another 1,000 year hibernation.
Jirachi was actually quite surprised to see Cresselia, as the two legendary Pokémon almost never met before despite the fact they knew the other existed. However, Cresselia’s sudden and unexpected wish of “I want your dream to become real” disturbed Jirachi to say the least, but as in the past, Jirachi wasn’t even capable of denying wishes. What was even worse was the fact Cresselia left Jirachi completely in the dark when it came to the exact result of this wish, but in the end, Jirachi fell asleep into his 1,000 year hibernation, and suddenly it was then that the dream world that Jirachi imagined began to become real. In the meantime, Cresselia found that her power of inspiring good dreams now directly became a power of creation, something she always wanted above anything else.
It was then that the Dreamscape became the new reality. Combined with Jirachi’s wish-granting potential and psychic abilities, the extent of Cresselia’s wish and her dream engineering, Jirachi unconsciously created what would later be called the Dreamscape, an entirely new world completely based off of the projection of Jirachi’s dreams and Cresselia’s design during the 1,000 year sleep. However, what Jirachi didn’t know was that this entirely new Dreamscape realm had overlapped and taken over reality, dragging all living beings into this entirely new and fantastical world never conceived before.
In addition to that, many of these living beings found themselves changed and altered in ways that went beyond their wildest imaginations. Humans and Pokémon that always wanted to fly found themselves with wings, those that wanted to swim underwater found themselves with fins and all the other necessary adaptations, and so on. All dreams, regardless of whether they were good or evil in intent, were suddenly made real. In the meantime, entirely new races of creatures and Pokémon were created purely from Jirachi’s imagination and Cresselia's creation, and they too lived in this new Dreamscape realm that had been created.
There were many people and Pokémon that adored this new Dreamscape, wanting to spend the rest of their lives in it. However, there were a few others that regardless of how fantastical the Dreamscape was, they knew it shouldn’t have existed and intended to do something about it. Those that opposed the existence of the Dreamscape sought to awaken Jirachi, stop Cresselia, and put an end to the fantasy, but they found themselves in conflict against the many that loved the Dreamscape, as well as those that were directly created because of it. These “Dream Rebels” knew that those beings that were created by dreams would vanish forever once Jirachi had awoken and the Dreamscape would instantly come to an end.
In the meantime, joining the cause of the Dream Rebels is Darkrai, who feels the Dreamscape is the most absurd and ridiculous thing he’s ever seen Cresselia do. In Darkrai’s better judgment, he knows the Dreamscape absolutely has to be terminated. Despite the fact that Darkrai now has far more power to make nightmares real, he strongly feels his nightmares were simply tools in the fight against avarice, reminding people of evil and its consequences as warnings and reminders. However, the very essence of making these nightmares into pure, twisted reality is something he simply would not tolerate. Now, Darkrai is forced with using his power simply to try and bring people and Pokémon back to realty as much as he can within Cresselia’s Dreamscape realm, simply trying to create “havens of normality” within the fantastical reaches of Cresselia’s design.
However, at the moment, the Dream Rebels are facing a losing battle as more and more people and Pokémon become drawn and enticed by the Dreamscape. Even now, Cresselia and the subconscious Jirachi wield creative power that puts even Arceus and all the other legends combined to shame. What’s even worse is that some of these legends, despite the fact they’re now at Cresselia’s mercy, find the Dreamscape to be the most ingenious thing she’s ever done. Meanwhile, Darkrai and the rest of the Dream Rebels are simply trying to pull the plug on the entire thing, before everyone suddenly forgets what reality was supposed to be like before all this came to be.
With all this going on, its anyone’s guess as to how this will all be resolved. Will the true nature of realty ever be restored, or will the unending Dreamscape become the new realty?
TERMS AND STUFF
Dreamscape – Basically refers to the entire “dream world” that was created by Jirachi and Cresselia. Right now, it’s the only thing that exists as realty has been completely written over.
Dream Rebels – Refers to anyone that thinks the Dreamscape is wrong and realty should be returned to normal. Essentially, anyone that even harbours a single thought that there’s something wrong with the Dreamscape is considered a Dream Rebel. Right now, Dream Rebels only constitute 25% of the Dreamscape’s population, and they’re currently facing a losing battle…
Dreamscape Allies – Refers to anyone that is willing to ensure that the Dreamscape persists forever more, regardless of whether its for a good or evil intention. In some cases, Dreamscape Allies that are both good and evil are willing to work together when it comes to defeating the Dream Rebels, but there are cases when they would be warring against each other to determine how the Dreamscape should be. Most evil-aligned Dreamscape Allies aren’t too happy that the entire Dreamscape is very happy-go-lucky and they’d like that changed.
Dream Wanderers – Refers to both people and Pokémon that were from realty and were dragged into the Dreamscape. Regardless of whether they’re Dream Rebels or Dream Allies, a few of their wishes have been granted, giving them some minor powers, such as wings to fly, fins and gills to swim underwater, or other minor abilities. When it comes to the conflict, Dream Wanders are mostly supportive of the Dreamscape, with 25% of them as Dream Rebels thinking this new reality is completely wrong, while the remaining 75% of them are Dreamscape Allies, loving their new abilities and powers and wanting them forever more in this appreciated mystical realm.
Dream Denizens – Refers to anyone that was directly created by Jirachi’s dreams, and can only survive if the Dreamscape survives. Dream Denizens are beings with even more fantastical power having been born directly from dreams and imagination than those from realty that simply had their wishes of imagination granted. 98% of Dream Denizens are Dream Allies, but there are a very rare few Dream Denizens that sympathize with the Dream Rebels and understand that the Dreamscape is not a natural creation. These rare, selfless few are willing to fight for the Dream Rebels, even if it costs them their personal existence.
DREAMSCAPE RULES
The rules behind creating a character within the Dreamscape are very loose. This is probably the golden opportunity you’ve always wanted to create a character based on anything. As long as the power and form is not too ridiculous, I’ll allow it.
Dream Wanderers (those that were dragged in from realty) will only have slight alterations made to them as a result of the Dreamscape. So if you’re making a Dream Wanderer character, you can give them wings, etc, and whatever else as well as some powers, but they still need to be at least slightly what they were when they came in from realty (as in the human or Pokémon they started off as). For another example, your human character could also be a character that became a Hybrid or something like that, but again, they can’t be totally changed around in a way that makes it completely impossible to tell what they used to be.
Dream Denizens (those that exist and depend on the Dreamscape), on the other hand, can be purely made from imagination and are capable of having much more power than Wanderers. So while the Wanderers may have the ability to fly, swim, use a few Pokémon moves and stuff like that, the Denizens will have the power to bend realty, create illusions, and completely alter the world around them. Not to mention that the Denizens can have the power to undo and twist the benefits that the Wanderers received as a result of the Dreamscape, though this is a bit harder to perform. For the Dream Denizens, you’re completely allowed to bring in creatures, beings, and powers from other animes, games, and fandom’s, but give them a unique name that does not relate to where you got it from. For example, if you bring in Final Fantasy’s avian mounts called “Chocobos” into the RP, that’s fine, but call them something different, and explain and describe them as if everyone else has never heard of them before. That’s all I’m asking.
Death and Dying
When a Dream Wanderer “dies,” they would end up going into a coma they can’t wake up from until Jirachi awakens. When a Dream Denizen dies, they’re completely gone.
Completely killing NPCs doesn’t need to be too hard, unless they have a strong role in the unfolding storyline (as in they’ve been very influential for quite a long time in the RP). Killing RPer’s characters should be MUCH harder, but its not impossible. If your character is legally killed off, you can make another.
THE DREAMSCAPE

Don't ask me how he comes up with this stuff. He ssid "it just sorta happens."
The Twilight Horizon – This realm is the dream-inspired version of a snowy tundra with snowy plains that are the same colour as the auroras that paint the sky with glowing, captivating animation. Here, twilight-coloured blizzards spray the skies, but the air is never cold, and the snow and ice never chills those who touch it. Instead, the air is pleasantly cool all the time. Both day and night exist in The Twilight Horizon, where day causing the coloured snow and ice to gleam with a fantastical amount of rainbow coloured refracted light. Meanwhile, at night, the skies light up with colourful stars and auroras.
Indigo Beach is the main capital of the Twilight Horizon, featuring various resorts that include both winter and summer activities all in one. Meanwhile, amusement parks never before conceived, as well as firework displays, festivals, and parades are seemingly endlessly in this wondrous shore-side city.
The Overlook – The Overlook consists of multiple paradises in a sky-like realm of rainbow-coloured clouds and sky castle cities. Generally, creatures that can fly like this continent the best, but everyone is welcome. Meanwhile, up in the clouds are oases with rainbow coloured Sweetwater, both very appetizing to drink and swim in. Most of the cities in this realm feature soft, relaxing settings. Unlike the Twilight Horizon, it is always daytime in The Overlook.
Suntropolis is the main Dreamscape Ally capital of The Overlook. Here, the sun is bright and radiant, but its never blinding like the sun of realty was. In this lofty metropolis, the sun rejuvenates everyone and the festivities are also very vibrant and jubilant, mostly celebrating the power of flight with air shows, aerial dancing, and other similar acts.
Bradford City is the main Dream Rebel capital of The Overlook. Brutally hated by all Dreamscape Allies, Bradford City tries to be a normal urban metropolis, even though its in the clouds like every city in The Overlook. Thanks to Darkrai and the rest of the Dream Rebels, Bradford City is very much like the way Saffron City used to be. It has its pleasures, but they’re restrained to only be pleasures that would have existed in reality. Also, the downsides of realty are present as well, as Bradford isn’t sparkling clean like all the other Dreamscape cities, it has its noises, its traffic, and its problems, but it’s a strong reminder of what realty used to be. Also, the rules are strict, and needless display of granted imaginary power is prohibited (power is used only to defend the city from Dreamscape Allies). Anyone seeking a refuge of reality can find it in Bradford, or in its similar but smaller neighbour, Deagle City.
The Starlight Islands – This glowing and powerful realm of imaginary creation is the beating heart of the Dreamscape, where both Jirachi and Cresselia reside under the massive fortification of The Dream Nexus, the largest and most powerful metropolis stronghold within the Dreamscape, featuring majestic and fantastic structures and sights that can grasp the mind and soul of anyone and fill it with rapture. It is always night here, but the stars glow so brightly that its actually very difficult to tell. Here, Dreamscape Allies travel to this realm to hone their powerful imaginary features and abilities, or they travel to this rejuvenating realm to pay tribute to Jirachi and Cresselia for their creations.
The Dream Nexus is the largest and most powerful capital of the Dreamscape, keeping both Jirachi and Cresselia safe with the protection of massive fortifications, powerful guardians, and power and potential that endless imagination has created. Needless to say, it’s the bane of the Dream Rebels, but its quite obvious trying to attack it outright would be clearly suicide. If the Dreamscape is to be ended, they will need to work around this obstacle first before trying to confront their ultimate task.
Sunfeather – These rolling, sunrise-coloured plains of plateaus, valleys, hills, and gorges features a warm, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere where the very wind helps those caught in it to relax, feel comfort, and use their imagination in constructive ways. Cities here are more modern in appearance, but with a complete celestial transformation to make them feel like safe, clean, and relaxing like heaven.
Cychal, the capital of Sunfeather, is what anyone could expect from a heavenly like realm, featuring modern day urban skyscrapers of crystal, pristine streets that gleam with gold and silver, and lights that bask the city with a captivating glow. Here, work is pleasure, where everyone has their dream job of being able to bring out their talents, showcase it to everyone, and watch as their creations of animation, music, art, and other works are praised by all for being unique. Cychal is a city of endless life and entertainment.
The Lily Isles – As a paradise for grass-type Pokémon and anyone that even just remotely likes flowers, The Lily Isles are covered with endless, colourful arrays of tropical flowers. Here, the weather is warm and the sun is always shining. Meanwhile, in this realm, flowers never die, and already the citizens of this flora-based continent are beginning to forget a flower could wilt back in the days of realty. Here, if someone doesn’t have naturally growing flowers on them, they typically wear them. Like the other continents, many festivals, celebrations, and holidays take place, but here they are mostly flower-related.
Skylily, the main capital of The Lily Isles, is a major metropolis that allows its pastel-coloured buildings to thrive alongside the intended flora overgrowth. Here, the city is always alive with music, song, and life as the day never comes to an end.
The Southern Haven – Currently the highlight of the war between the Dreamscape Allies and the Dream Rebels. The western half of The Southern Haven is a realm focused on the exploration of imagination, creativity, and experimentation of invoking new imagination. As it was intended, the Southern Haven was an area designed as a kind of transition for Dream Wanderers to move away from realty and more into the realm of dreams. In stark contrast to that, the eastern half is the work of the Dream Rebels, trying their best to turn the Southern Haven into their own nexus. Here, the influence of the Dreamscape realm is suppressed as the design of realty is harboured by those that find the Dreamscape to be false and a travesty of what should exist.
Serenity, the Dreamscape Ally capital of the Southern Haven was originally intended to be a city where those that didn’t quite understand the Dreamscape would be guided along and mentored to unlock the true powers of their dreams and imagination. Now, it’s the forefront of motion that the Dreamscape Allies are using to push back those that would seek to bring realty back. At the same time, Serenity’s purpose is now to try and convince as many Dream Rebels as they can to come back and cherish the power and potential of the Dreamscape, hoping to covert them back into their ranks. However, those that are far too stubborn leave the Dreamscape Allies no choice if they want to defend what they value most…
Independence, the main metropolis of the Dream Rebels, is the very essence of disgust for all Dreamscape Allies. Here, the rules of realty are paramount. Stepping into this city tends to bring those that have lost their heads in the clouds back to earth through rational and realistic thinking. Here, normal jobs are being created day to day, finance and economies are the engine behind innovation, and people and Pokémon that absolutely refuse to be a part of the Dreamscape nonsense find this city to be the best salvation from everything else. Here, someone could wake up from reality and think that absolutely nothing happened. There are some that have even been able to shed their Dreamscape attributes, living their lives as normal humans and Pokémon. However, these are rare as the Dream Rebels know that the only way to defeat the Dreamscape is to turn its own potential against it. The weapons of reality just can’t work against the weapons of dreams and imagination…
The Dreamscape Ocean – For those that desired to explore the depths of the seas of the Dreamscape, the Dreamscape Ocean is an underwater paradise of coral reefs and mystical waters. There are several cities below the sea, intended for those that would prefer to live within the depths of the waters.
The Depth Refuge is the only underwater city that supports the campaign of the Dream Rebels.

POWERS AND SUCH
Can essentially be anything you want, as long as its not extremely god-moddish. As mentioned before, Denizens get more than Wanderers, but with Denizens, you’re pretty much stuck to one side, as the very few Denizens that side with the Rebels are regarded as heretics among their own kind. As for the Denizens, I’m kind of hoping people avoid trying to directly import from other animes/fandom’s, and instead try to make something original that might be inspired from them, but isn’t a direct rip.
Name: The name of your character
Gender: Male, female, or genderless
Age: How old your character is.
Side: You can be a Dream Rebel trying to bring back reality, a Dreamscape Ally trying to preserve the wonders of the Dreamscape, or a neutral party trying to possibly get the sides to coexist somehow, or not get involved. Just note that neutral characters that don’t support the Dream Rebel cause are regarded as Dreamscape Allies by the Dream Rebels themselves.
Species: Could be a mix of things really. Putting N/A is fine if the character you’re making is one of a kind. Also state if the character is a Dream Wanderer, or if they are a Dream Denizen.
Description: Definitely needed here. Describe what your character looks like, and how the Dreamscape has made their dreams and desires come true to transform them into the ultimate form they’ve always wanted deep inside. Pictures are welcome, but should only be used as supplement. Two paragraphs at least, though I can definitely understand the need for more.
Personality: The emotional intelligence of your character. Describe how your character behaves, how they react to certain situations, and how they feel. Its possible the Dreamscape realm has also affected personality.
History: If your character is a Dream Wanderer, describe how life was like before the creation of the Dreamscape realm. However, if they are Dream Denizens, describe how they came into being and what area of the Dreamscape they originate from. Its okay if the creature you’re creating has very little to do with the actual area itself.
Powers: Time to go all out. As long as its not ridiculously super-inside to the point of being like a nuke going off, you’re free to come up with just about any kind of cool, strange, or really interesting power you can come up with. Just know that Dream Denizens are typically allowed to have more power than Dream Wanderers.
Pokémon: If your character is a Pokémon trainer, they can have up to six, and its okay if those six Pokémon have their own slight alterations due to the Dreamscape.
RP Sample: Can be recycled from an old RP.
Other: Anything else you can think of.
That's all. Have fun being creative!
(Please note that I take no credit for the plot or artwork. Both were made/invented by the almighty Neo Pikachu, one of the best RPers I know. I also have his permission to post it here.)
