Here we have two of the most infamous abilities, both of which cause a certain weather condition automatically.

One is owned by Groudon-scorching, burning, melt-your-car Drought!

The other is possessed by Kyogre-rushing, torrential, ruining-soccer-practice Drizzle!

Which is better?

Which belongs to better Pokémon?

Which is more useful in battle?

Which looks cooler?

Which is your favorite?

Let the battle begin!

Both would be good in certain conditions.

For me, I prefer Drought... because I like Groudon more than Kyogre :)

As long as the opponent doesn't know Solarbeam, I think it's a pretty good ability.

Drought, it benefits Fire types, Rock types, Ground types, and Chlorophyll users; However, Sand Stream outclasses both auto-weathers.

Which is better?
- Drought.
Insta solarbeam, fire boost, synthesis boost, clorophyl + other sun abilities VS Drizzle; Water boost, thunder boost and rain abilities...Yeah...It's 4 to 3 for Drought

Which belongs to better Pokémon?
- Drizzle. Politoed and Kyogre, two of my favorite water types forever.

Which is more useful in battle?
- Drought, for the reasons I stated before

Which looks cooler?
- Drizzle.
It's a classic cliche that it's rains during an epic battle.

Which is your favorite?
- Drizzle, since I like water types and boost surf is always nice.

I thought about putting in Sand Stream, but I wanted this to be reminiscent of Groudon vs. Kyogre.

Which is better?
Both have equal strengths.

Which belongs to better Pokémon?
Drizzle

Which is more useful in battle?
I guess Drizzle, since alot are rain dancers and gives 100% accuracy to thunder.

Which looks cooler?
TIE

Which is your favorite?
Drizzle. I love rainy weather.

Which is better?
They're both good, depends in what.
Which belongs to better Pokémon?
Kyogre is better than Groudon, but Ninetales is better than Politoed. Tie.
Which is more useful in battle?
Never used any of them, but I think Drizzle.
Which looks cooler?
Drizzle.
Which is your favorite?
Drizzle.

Which is better?
Personally, being a Water Trainer, Drizzle.
Which belongs to better Pokemon?
I say Drizzle, for elemental reasons.
Which is more useful in battle?
I say Drought. Drizzle is good for Swift Swimmers, but Drought is good for a whole lot of other stuff, mostly not fire types, but Grass Types.
Which looks cooler?
Drought, in my opinion.
Which is your favourite?
Drizzle.

Well, I've been mauled in battles by the Drizzle + Swift Swim combo a lot. Although Drought has plenty of advantages as well.
I like Groudon a lot more than Kyogre but I think Drizzle just about edges it for me.

I prefer drizzle, because drought pokemon are always killed because of stealth rocks

Which is better? Drought, because it provides advantages to more types.

Which belongs to better Pokémon? Drought. Discounting ubers, Ninetales is way superior to Politoed.

Which is more useful in battle? Drizzle. It's pretty overpowered when paired with Swift Swim.

Which looks cooler? Drizzle, makes things feel more epic. Drought still looks cool though.

Which is your favorite? Drought, for the synergy with Fire and Grass types, plus I really don't like rain teams.

Drought provides more advantages, to more types.

Unfortunately, Water is overpowered. And by default they have advantage over drought users.

Drought is also trickier to use, Grass types are resisted by three times the things they should be, and Fire types are frail. And while most rain teams can stand losing the weather, it causes more trouble to drought teams.

So as much variety and stuff drought gives, drizzle is superior because it's just more solid.

... Which is too bad.

Which is better?
It depends on the circumstances
Which belongs to better Pokémon?
Drizzle, even though Fire types are my favorite, I know from experience

Hey, What about snow warning and Sand stream? How about a contest between the 4?

Anyway, I like both equally, I can't decide. Rain has it's advantages (swift swim, Hydration, boost water type moves, decrease fire type moves, thunder never misses) and so does Sun(solarbeam can be used without a turn to charge, boost fire type moves, water type moves decrease in power, healing type moves like Morning sun and synthesis are stronger, Chloraphill boost speed in some grass types). Though Drought seems to have a bit more of an advantage, and if I'm missing anything for water then let me know, I still prefer to think them even.

As much as I can't stand Water-Types, I voted for Drizzle. I always liked rainy weather.

Rain teams are naturally the current strongest weather teams in competitive battle. I use a "Mud" team on Pokemon Black (mix of Sandstorm and Rain) and I know there is nothing like my Swift Swim Kingdra in a Sun team XD

This would be the main reason I vote over Drought for Drizzle, but it's not to say that a Sun Team can't be powerful.

No, it doesn't. Swift Swim Kingdra in Rain = the most devastating Pokemon out there. Plus Water-type moves get a significant boost and Thunder becomes 100% accurate, so your coverage is great. The only person in this current gen who can stop Rain teams in their tracks is Gastrodon.

Rain Dance only benefits swift swim users and Thunder accuracy, and that's about it.

you forgot steel types.

I like both. Both have some devastating sweepers.
