DS games compatibility

I've just been wondering if anyone knows if I have a UK Ranger and a US DP (or vice-versa, US Ranger and UK DP) will I be able to transfer Manaphy from Ranger to DP?
I searched around and couldn't find the answer, if anyone knows and could tell me that would be much appreciated.

I think DS games are region-free.

All DS and GameBoy games are Region Free, except when it comes to the DSi.
