So. The time has come. I went to my nearest Gamestop today, to find the DS section lying in the bargain bin. The end is near. I know that for many games, it's get it now or get it never. So, if the games are still there when I go back whenever, I am wondering about the console's hidden gems. So, Bulbagardeners, what DS games would you recommend I get while I still can? Here's a (loonnngg) list of my DS games.

  • Pokemon Diamond
  • Pokemon Black
  • Pokemon SoulSilver (lost it..)
  • Pokemon White 2
  • PMD: Darkness
  • PMD: Sky
  • New Super Mario Bros
  • Mario Party DS
  • Mario Hoops 3-3
  • M&SATOG
  • Super Princess Peach
  • M. vs. DK: MLM
  • M&L: BIS
  • M&SATWOG
  • Mario Kart DS
  • M. vs DK 2: MOTM
  • Wario: MoD
  • WarioWare DIY
  • SM64 DS
  • M&L: PIT
  • Pokemon Blue RT: FAULTY
  • Pokémon Ranger 2
  • Pokemon Ranger 1: AWOL
  • Pokemon Conquest
  • 42 All-Time Classics (Clubhouse Games)
  • LOZ: Phantom Hourglass
  • Brain Training/Age
  • More Brain Training/Age
  • Walk With Me
  • Sonic Classic Collection
  • Sonic Rush Adventure
  • Star Fox Command
  • Metroid Prime Hunters
  • City Life DS
  • And a few rubbish movie tie-ins. (PM me for those.)

I generally like Nintendo stuff, though I like me a good RPG. Anyone can post suggestions, because the DS is going away fast! All suggestions welcome, I have no hated genres. Remember: it's now or never.

If you are a RPG fan, I can recommend a few RPGs you should check out for the DS:
  • Final Fantasy IV (A Remake of a classic SNES RPG and a really fun game if a little challenging)
  • Final Fantasy III (A lesser known NES RPG that's pretty good as well.)
  • Chrono Trigger (Probably the best Square RPG in history, pretty cheap too.)
  • Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (A really fun and challenging Turn Based Strategy RPG.)
  • Pokémon Platinum (The expanded Pokédex, more streamlined storyline and inclusion of both Dialga and Palkia makes it a must-have for catching those Sinnoh-exclusive Pokémon.)
  • Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
  • The World Ends With You (A very unique Square Enix Action RPG that has a fantastic soundtrack.)

Some other games too:
  • Sonic Rush (If you liked Adventure, you should like the first one.)
  • Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (Again, if you like Phantom Hourglass, you will like this one.)
  • Kirby Super Star Ultra (Basically a collection of a bunch of small-scale Kirby games. Pretty enjoyable for it's variety.)
  • Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time

Anyways, I guess I could share my collection as well (The titles marked red are ones I no longer have.)
3DS:
LoZ: Ocarina of Time 3D
Pokémon Rumble Blast
Mario Kart 7
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Fire Emblem Awakening
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity(Personally, as much as I like PMD, this one just couldn't follow up to Sky.)
Pokémon X and Y
LoZ: Link Between Worlds
Mario & Luigi Dream Team
Tales of the Abyss (My personal favourite 3DS game.)
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
DS:
Super Mario 64 DS
PMD Explorers of Sky (My favourite Pokémon game.)
Pokémon Black and White
Pokémon Heartgold
Pokémon Platinum
Pokémon Diamond
Sonic Classic Collection
Sonic Rush
LoZ: Spirit Tracks
Pokémon Black and White 2
Chrono Trigger
Kirby Super Star Ultra
Kirby Squeak Squad
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
The World Ends With You
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon
Final Fantasy IV
Ōkamiden
Pokémon Conquest
Mario Kart DS
Mario & Luigi Partners in Time

I see. Very good points. I'll look for them next time I go. Thanks for the tips!

I have a few recommendations:
  • Elite Beat Agents (the most amazing rhythm game I've ever played, decently challenging, lots of charm)
  • Trauma Center: Under the Knife (a visual novel/simulation game about surgeons- it might sound weird but the game is really fun and really hard)
  • Ghost Trick (puzzle game about an amnesiac ghost trying to find out who he really is, great art style and graphics, catchy music, lovable characters, and plots twists you will never see coming- this is probably my favourite DS game ever)
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and the Ace Attorney series in general (really cute, funny games about wacky lawyers and court cases, which can get pretty deep at times)
  • Professor Layton and the Curious Village and the rest of the PL series (charming and addictive puzzle games with emotional plots)
