Yeh, im going on a 3 day car ride, and i need a rpg on the ds that will keep me busy, any idea
 
I think he means "why didn't you think of playing pokemon?" am I correct or off a bit?
 
What Type of RPGs? There are a lot. Depending on the trip Final Fantasy IV is coming out in two weeks, plus there was Final Fantasy Tactics and my personal favorite: The World Ends With You.... but Square games tend to be battery intensive.. You may want to consider GBA games as well if you don't take a car charger.

There are tons of RPGs depending on what you like. Etrian Odyssey II will probably keep you occupied for a while as would Summon Night. I think it's safe to say everyone here has played Diamond and Pearl to death.
 
Are you looking for the typical rpg adventure sort of thing, or does it not matter?

If not then Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is not a bad choice, kept me occupied for a 9 hour flight across the Atlantic this past week. I was a fan of the FFTA for the GBA and I've been waiting for this one for a while and just had to get it.

Of course I couldn't say it's for everyone.

The story is fairly dry, but leveling up and class building are what make the game most addictive and since the battles are selective (mission based) all that makes it a perfect portable. I've been wanting to play The World Ends With You as well, but haven't had the chance to pick it up but I'd still recommend it since I've heard great reviews on it. If you haven't done so yet, try picking up the FFIII remake or Advance Wars titles. Pick any of the ones mentioned previously and you can't go wrong.
 
I would suggest Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. If you haven't played the original version, than you might be in the dark for a bit, but it opens up in no time. Good real time battles, graphics are good, and the story is good.
 
A warning about Etrian Odyssey II, it's brutally difficult. Very rewarding when you progress as a result though.

As for RPGs coming around soon... Final Fantasy IV DS comes out in a week and few days. And Dragon Quest IV in September.
 
Kind of along the lines of Pokemon, have you ever heard of Dragon Quest (sometimes called Dragon Warrior)? A new one in the series came out this year for DS and the graphics are INCREDIBLE. Even if you haven't played any of the other Dragon Quest/Warrior games, you can still understand it just fine. It's really fun, I recomend it.
 
When are you going on this car ride? Because that affects what games we can recommend.

Thanks for all the ideas, I have already beat Diamond Version, Pokemon Ranger, and Both Mystery Dungeons so thats why i asked
 
Hm, if you liked the Mystery Dungeon games, you might like Izuna 1 or 2, but 1 is out of print now, and 2 just recently came out or is coming out soon. (don't know date off-hand)
