DS Syncing

Sorry for this being my first post, but I wanted to know very badly.

If you use wi-fi on one DS, and then you switch to another DS, is it true that since it's synced with the other DS that you have to start a new game in order to use wi-fi again?

No, you just need to get your new Friend Code. The game won't start over.

My friend wouldn't let up on the fact that I couldn't trade over wi-fi with a borrowed DS becasue then I'd have to start a new game.
