DSi audio problems

So I was playing my DSi, (same one that had heat problems, but is fine now) on a flight back home from Seattle. The flight gave free earbuds, which I used. Now today, absolutely no sound is coming from the DS. The sound is on max. What's happening?
 
Ehh, looks like it's having more issues. Headphones should not brick your system, call up Nintendo or just dump it at GS, they will buy anything.
 
Oh, never mind, I stick the headphone socket part in my ear (I have no idea) and now it works again. It probably thought something was inside the headphone socket.
