My name is Dubby. I'm 19 years old and I'm a University student.

I adore Pokemon, and have adored it since 1999-2000 (when the anime first started airing here in North America). Except when I lost interest back in 2004 (last time I played Pokemon Crystal), until one sacred day this past June I picked up Pokemon Emerald...

Well, let's just say I'm now more addicted to Pokemon than ever. ^^

I don't like the anime that much, and I'm a much bigger fan of the PokeSpe manga and the games. My OTP is HoennChampionShipping (Steven x May). I completely ADORE Steven Stone, he's my favourite character. Lots of love to him!

I also support IronWillShipping, CrystalShipping (this needs more love!), AkatsukiShipping, and LoliShotaShipping.

For the longest time, CrystalShipping was my OTP (though I didn't know about Pokemon Shippings then, I just really loved the whole Crystal x Eusine concept...), and that shipping needs more love than it has.

I lurk around Bulbapedia & these forums a lot, haha. Probably use it more than Serebii (sometimes, maybe). I thought it be about time I registered, heh.

Besides Pokemon, I love manga, drawing, and writing. I'm guilty of being a huge Pokemon fanfiction writer, and drawing lots of fanart. I am also a manga scanlator. Recently, though, I've retired, though I do help out with Pokemon Special scanlations (shh, don't tell anyone).

Anywho, that's all, I think!

1999, 2000, not sure of the exact time but it was around there I think. ^^;

Haha, thank you. I mostly help translate (not me personally, but I have loads of connections) & QC. Truth be told, the girl I "help" is supposed to be an editor, but God she's dreadful and when I QC I feel like I'm editing the entire thing from scratch. Plus she insists on releasing under her own username (under scanlator no less), not acknowleding all others who helped and urgh...

The only good thing she does is save time typesetting & scan the raws, which is why I've really no right to complain.

God, I really hope she isn't reading this... @_@

Didn't the dub start somewhere around the fall of 1998.....

The first episode I saw was in the late summer of 1999. It was the episode where the people Pallet Town have a party for Ash for coming in the top 16 at the Pokemon League, and Team Rocket crashes it by throwing bombs out of their balloon. This was at the end of the first season. =/

Noticed that credit on the scans I've been reading.

That's not it, and the reason you probably won't have read it is because the chick insists on only posting the scans on specific sites (I'm definitely contesting that atm, I wanna set up a whole scanlator page).

I'll go into more detail later (have to go out in a bit), but just know she's a huge douchebag and if I had the money I'd buy my own scans and do it all myself.

She does credit everyone who works, but she only makes herself out to be the huge staffmember. Her notes are written all over the place in hugeass font, the scanlator field is her name, and when people thank the scanlators, she gets all the love (and it annoys me to see people praise her editing and she just say "oh yea I've gotten loads better" when she knows very well she's the lousiest editor in the world), etc etc... One time she even took credit for the translations & agh.

Whooo, what a rant (and sorry for lack of namedropping, I'd rather she never see this XD I'm fine being a hypocrite).

Thanks everyone. XD My username has a looooong story behind it (not related to Dobby in any way), and it's so long I'd rather not go that into it.

And I guess I was totally off the mark for year. I know the first episode I saw was when Ash got his bulbasaur (one of the really early eps I think), so it was definitely when it first started to air.
