Dubs or subs?

i've been thinking about rewatching some seasons of pokemon but i've been wondering should i watch them dubbed or subbed?
i know they are banned episodes and some scenes that are cut off in the dubs, but i'm not completely sure if i'll understand much if i watch the subs since the names of most pokemon and characters have been changed
i don't know if this question has been asked already, but if it has i excuse myself for not looking it up myself, since i'm not very active on this website
 
I don't pick favorites.

I watch the dub because that's what I've been watching since I was a little kid.

I watch the original version (no subs, I don't need them) because I want to be caught up with the original Japanese version...and I'm too impatient to wait for the dub.

But if you want the original stuff without any edits, I say go for the subs...
