Out of curiosity, will the recent change of dubbers affect the DVD releases any (the American Chronicles release, the eighth movie, the Advanced Battle DVDs, etc)?
Just wondering, since I honestly am totally clueless about how things like this work. That, and if I have to wait any longer to get my Chronicles discs, I will find someone and strangle them.

At this point no. The first two Advanced Battle DVDs come out in September, by Viz and 4kids.

The 8th movie was dubbed by 4kids, so I imagine Miramax will be producing it like they did with movies 4-7.

Still no word on Chronicles sadly, I don't know why they still haven't released them here.

Well, they have to sooner or later. Unless that was just repayment for UK getting screwed over on the anime for so long...

Us getting it first was nice but for you to be waiting for more than a year at least seems a bit odd. Maybe no one wants to air it? Kids WB would prioritise the episodes that include Ash.

The UK has been doing pretty well with the episodes until very recently. It's only really the movies that are an issue since we're still waiting for Jirachi Wishmaker. (Pokémon Heroes was released last year but Pokémon 4Ever was released two years before that.)

So is that to say there's a possibility they canceled the US release? I can see why, given that it wasn't received too well over here, but they don't need to air something just to release the DVDs, though, do they?

...man, that sucks. I want my Team Rocket!

Even if Chronicles never airs on U.S. TV, there's still no reason why it can't come out on DVD here.

Is anyone willing to fire up an e-mail to either 4kids or Viz asking them about Chronicles? It makes no sense to dub 22 episodes and NOT show them in the country that they're produced for.

It was produced for UK.

Well, you are all LUCKY - in Poland we are still waiting for 6th season (dubbed and waiting for air). So, stop complaining. You all say that 4kids is destroing the climate etc., but wants them to do it. If you don't want to wait - watch RAWs.

Well, you are lucky too. The last seasone we in Czech rep. has, was fourth, and that was 4 years ago. After that, we only have 4th movie, and that has very poor dub:eek:hdear: I'm really angry about that Pokémon aren't aired there.

Well, I came up with the theory last night that us in the US of A will be seeing the Chronicles DVDs as soon as Lucario and the last of the AB DVDs come out. It'd make sense for them to put them out to make the last of the money they're going to be able to make off Pokemon. In light of their recent financial problems, it'd be stupidity not to have a US Chronicles release.

Do the Pokemon DVDs even sell well? I rarely see them in stores, I have to get my Pokemon DVDs off deepdiscountdvd or amazon.com.

Samgoody and Best Buy seldom have the DVDs, in either the anime section or the childrens section.

Among fans, most likely, since some just get them to add to the collection. Anyone without a constant source of money (ie, kids?) Probably not.

Don't have any, but they still not confirmed airing it in the US.

Anyway, as 4kids is leaving us, they probably would do sth with it... don't expect redub, but i think they'll make some "modifications"...
