Anyone keeping up on it?

Big announcement thus far was FFXIII coming to the 360.

Sony is screwed now. They were counting on FFXIII as an exclusive.

Did they say exactly when it'll come out.

And wow, Microsoft just made the best move possible. Especially with a less expensive system.

Yep, they are in bad shape right now. They'd practically have to announce a FFVII remake in order to save themselves.

No date or anything yet. There was a bit of info at the very end, but the stupid camera was panned ALL THE WAY OUT and we couldn't see much of anything.

Seriously, I'm surprised and a bit annoyed about FFXIII being on the 360 as well... but it makes sense for square to do. The first multiconsole release of FF ever!

There also was a new Wiimote attachment that extends a bit the size but adds more axis for programmers to work with and higher sensitivity. I think it is cool... but should have been in the first model. :| It's just excessive and I'm not sure how well it'll work out with other attachments. (It still works with the Nunchuck)

Oh yeah, I'm looking at Gamekyo, and they confirm it there as well

Amazing move on Microsoft's part and Nintendo will get more Final Fantasy games for Wii in future. Sony must be furious, I wonder if they will do anything to try and overcome this.

Can someone say owned? Sony are going to lose at least a million console sales now.

So far, summary, along with my thoughts:

At first, I thought Microsoft's Conference was a disaster. It was generally, as a whole, a full conference, but no surprises were shown... Well, at first...

Exclusives were few. Gears of Wars 2, which seemed a lot like the first one, and had unneeded epic elements added, Viva Pinata which is well... casual, Fallout 3, Fable 2 and Banzo-Kazooie. Fable 2 seems GREAT; I hope that it will receive a similar treatment with the first, and be ported on PC. The new Banzo-Kazooie seems nice as well. I was irritated by the old Banzo-Kazooie of Nintendo 64 coming on XBLA. Goldeneye is next...

The whole other game library was nice. Xbox 360's library is full. Actually, it is probably as good, or better than PlayStation 3's one. Xbox 360 got Devil May Cry 4, got Grand Theft Auto IV, got Resident Evil 5... and now... Final Fantasy XIII. That, along with the price-cut - 200$ - is enough to destroy Sony's plan. I believe that if Sony doesn't have anything ground breaking, PlayStation 3 will fail even worse as it currently does. Well, at least on Square-Enix's live Q&A, it was revealed that Versus will be exclusive on PlayStation 3. Good, Square-Enix. The Last Remnant seems also MAGICAL! And Resident Evil 5 keeps Resi 4's gameplay, which is more than good.

Now, about XBLA, and other things. A lot of ripoffs were shown. The Mii ripoffs are rediculus, and freaking ugly. The Xbox Game Card is a reminds a lot of the PSN Card. The Eyetoy Rip Off is... EyeToy ripoff. It's the EXACTLY SAME FREAKING THING. That indirect use of the motion sencing technology was smart though. Rock Band 2 is decent. Metallica, Gun 'n Roses and Motorhead are some of the bands that will appear. Singstar ripoff is surely better than Singstar. Apparently, one will be able to insert whatever songs they like. Interesting. XBLA is boring as hell though. UNO and TV Show Games don't get me interested.

Generally speaking, it turned out to be more than great. I bet Sony will have a lot of problems dealing with it, today. Like I said, if groundbreaking announcements don't take place, Sony will only get poorer. Nintendo is safe, I'm sure of this.

------------------------------------------------------------

No, the third parties shown yesterday. Coverage was poor, but I managed to be informed through the infamous websites, so...

Square-Enix had NOTHING. Q&A was informing, but not enough. Apparently, Final Fantasy XIII of PS3 and X360 will be the same thing, however, some differenced will be forced, due to the fact that DVD with Blue-Ray Disc are not the same thing. We learned that Versus will be exclusive on PS3; good for Sony. Some trailers were shown I think, but nothing new or interesting.

EA was INTERESTING. The Sims 3 was shown. It seems to have a lot of enhancement, though not graphical. I'm a little sceptical about if it will be too different though; seems more lively, but I find it a recyclement. Sims Animal is... meh. Spore is GREAT! A trailer was shown. I think that this is the new franchise that along with The Sims will be protagonyst on E3's lineup. Finally... Dragon Age: Origins, is ALL THE MONEY! Milking enough with Epic games, but this one is not of Stategy genre, for once! RPG, and most importantly, by BioWare. I have high hopes. Some other things were on this too. Harry Potter, and EA Sports franchises. Classical, I believe. EA was great this year.

------------------------------------------------------------

Today is a big day for everyone. Nintendo, Sony and Capcom's Conferences are fact. Nintendo is safe. Not to analyze it too much, I did before E3, but yeah. MotionPlus as hardware is enough to be groundbreaking. I believe that if several games like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, would be using this, it would be just unimaginably great. Though I'm not sure about The Force Unleashed... Rumors today has it that a new Zelda will be announced. Suprising, I would say. Everyone considered Kid Icarus as this year's hardcore thing. Kid Icarus won't appear, it seems. Punch-Out W!! is the ideal game to use the MotionPlus for the first time. I believe they will be bundled along. Some people talk about Capcom and Resident Evil 5. I won't believe this until I see with my own eyes, but I'm not quite sure. I believe not. Maybe Umbrella Chronicles 2, or Outbreak: File 3. There are quite a lot of other things. Animal Crossing Wii, Pikmin 3, maybe. Many many others, we'll see. As for Sony; I have one thing to say. They are in bad grounds without something to make them safe. Currently, there's nothing. Final Fantasy XIII trailer was shown. I would expect footage now, and probably trailer and/or footage from XIII Versus. Still; I don't know.

Edit, Forgot to mention. Final Fantasy VII is given. Let is be a remake, or a sequel, it will be here. Tonight.

Less than 5 hours left.

Not owning a Sony console has been the only thing keeping me from Final Fantasy titles previously. I am definately going to be keeping an eye on XIII now.

It's is rather surprising how both Sony and Microsoft have jumped on the casual gaming market that Nintendo discovered. First they voice their disdain and tell everyone it won't work. Then the Wii starts breaking sales records and both of them hop on the bandwagon, what a turnaround. I hope Nintendo keeps up the innovation because it is serving them very very well!

Watching It live now :)
Now I see where nintendo have been going these past few years. they are now pulling out games that intergtate every 'gimmick' released thus.
UPDATE
Did my ears just deceive me? did I just hear nintendo say they have both CoD AND GTA licenses? or were they just talking about games in general?

Nintendo's conference was a little meh, IMO.

Animal Crossing Wii looks really cool though.

I was expecting some new announcements along the lines of Zelda or Kirby, given Zelda hasn't seen a Wii exclusive title (Twilight Princess), and Kirby hasn't seen a normal adventure console game since the N64

I agree. The conference was very meh.

I hope they have more games on the floor show. Maybe even a surprise title.

Nintendo's was very much meh, but I got a kick out of when they were announcing ranger and acted like it was going to be a surprise early release of Platinum. (They didn't really do that, but it's what I was thinking with the wording. Then they said "Ranger" and I went, LOL)
